JEE Advanced 2020 Not To Be Conducted in Foreign Centres

JEE Advanced 2020 will not be conducted in foreign centres. This information has been shared in the latest notification published by the exam authority. IIT Delhi in its official JEE Advanced website has said that this decision has been taken due to the current restrictions imposed on foreign travel and visa issuance.

Now, all eligible candidates staying abroad have to select their preferred choices from the list of exam cities in India for taking JEE Advanced 2020.

JEE Advanced 2020 exam was supposed to be held in May 2020. However, the exam date has been postponed for the second time by the authorities. As per the latest updates, the exam is scheduled to be held on September 27, 2020.

Meanwhile, registration dates are yet to be announced. The application process will mainly start once NTA finishes conducting the JEE Main exam. Besides those students who are in the top 2,50,000 ranks will qualify for taking JEE Advanced.

In addition to this, the exam authority has also made some changes to the admission criteria. The exam authority has decided to relax the eligibility criteria for admission to IITs for JEE (Advanced) 2020 qualified candidates. They will now only need to PASS or clear class XII examination. The admission will take place irrespective of the marks obtained in 12th standard. The board has stated that this is due to the partial cancellation of class XII exams by several Boards and the non-uniformity associated with the marks given.
