Am Performance:

1. AM performance determines how many channels are available in a given band. We know that there could be up to 107 AM radio stations.
2. If the fidelity of AM radio is improved by increasing the upper-frequency 10kHz, the signal bandwidth must be doubled, resulting in 53 radio stations.
3. We will lose some other band if we increase the AM band. BW= 2fm can be used to predict the bandwidth of AM signals.
4. The carrier signal should use as little energy as possible.
5. The more powerful we modulate, the more power must be put into sidebands.
6. The strength of the modulation determines efficiency.
