AILET 2023 registration process to start from 7 Sept, 2022; Exam scheduled to be conducted on December 11, 2022

AILET 2023 registration: On September 7, 2022, the National Law University (NLU) will open the application portal for the All India Law Entrance Test. Shortlisted candidates to get admission to BA, LLB, LLM, and PhD programmes. Application forms to be submitted through the NLU’s official website, nludelhi .

According to the information mentioned in the official notification, the examination has been scheduled to be conducted on December 11, 2022 in offline mode. The eligibility criteria and other important guidelines have been mentioned on the website. Candidates are advised to check it before applying.

The deadline to apply for the test has not been announced as of yet, but candidates must ensure to submit their applications as soon as possible. The admission card will be issued in the month of November.

Candidates who have secured 45% marks (in the case of general candidates) and 40% marks (in the case of SC/ST/PwDs) in their class 12 examination or in its equivalent exam are eligible to apply for this programme. Candidates appearing for the class 12 examination in 2023 are also allowed to attempt the examination. The university has set no age limit for applying to the examination.

In the LLM programme, only those candidates who hold a law degree with a minimum of 50% marks (in the case of general candidates) and 45% (in the case of SC/ST/PwDs) are eligible to apply for entrance examinations. Candidates in their final semester are also permitted to apply.

Candidates applying for Ph.D programmes must hold a LLM or an equivalent law degree with at least an average of 55 percent, if he/she belongs to the general category, and 50 percent in the case of SC/ST/PwDs.

AILET 2023 registration: Here are the steps to follow

  1. Candidates need to visit the official website of NLU,nationallawuniversitydelhi.in, to apply for registration.
  2. Then on the homepage, click on the new registration link.
  3. Use your mobile number and email address to register.
  4. Select the desired course and then feed in the required information to complete the application form.
  5. Check all the details and then submit the application form.

Candidates who belong to the general category need to pay an application fee of Rs. 3,050, whereas SC and ST candidates have to pay Rs. 1,050. Candidates who come under the below poverty line and are from SC or ST categories have been exempted from paying the fee. The application forms for the other 22 NLU’s were released on August 8, 2022. The deadline to apply for other NLU’s has been set as November 13, 2022.
