In lieu of the Coronavirus or Covid-19 Outbreak, the Assam Government has cancelled all the exams across the state. These exams have been cancelled till 31 March 2020 and the new dates are expected to be released soon by the respective educational boards.
Covid-19 has spread across the country, even though Assam has not yet recorded any case. The Government had taken early measures to close down the educational institutions, cinema halls and multiplexes. However, SEBA or CBSE exams were not cancelled then or as per the earlier announcement made by the Government.
Nevertheless, the Government has now cancelled the exams as well, as it comes under the definition of social gatherings, which have been advised to be avoided in the country. Public gatherings could cause the infection to transmit as Coronavirus is said to spread via droplets.
The Assam Government had earlier issued orders till 29 March 2020, which have now been extended to 31 March 2020. Students can keep checking our site as well as the Board’s official website, https://sebaonline.org/ for further updates.
