The RBI Grade B Officers Exam 2017 Results for the Phase I exam have been announced on the official website. The Phase I is part of the recruitment for officers in the Grade B cadre. There are 161 vacancies for the position of RBI grade B officer as per the notification released. The recruitment procedure consists of Phase I and Phase II to shortlist the candidates for the final selection.
The Reserve Bank of India is India’s central banking institution, which controls the monetary policy of the Indian rupees. The Reserve Bank of India is usually known as the Banker to other banks.It has different work and job profiles, hence it is the reason why the bank has their own recruitment procedure for the vacancies, unlike the other public sector banks that follow the IBPS CWE pattern.

Exam Result Analysis:
Having approximately 3500 candidates clearing the Phase I exam conducted on June 17, 2017, for the recruitment of Officers in Grade B (General), Department of Economics and Policy Research and Department of Information and Statistics.
It was like other Bank Exams consisting of sections such as
- General Awareness
- English Language
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Reasoning
Cutoffs: The exam was a total of 200 marks. The candidates had to clear the sectional-wise as well as the overall cutoff in order to get shortlisted for the Phase II exam. The successful and unsuccessful candidates can check their cutoffs in two weeks, once it is released on the RBI website.
Phase II Exam:
The scheduled date for the RBI Grade B Phase II exam is on July 6 & 7, 2017. The test consists of 300 marks and has 3 different sections. The pattern is given below:

Keynotes to remember:
- The Phase II for the RBI Exam is held in shifts.
- Appearing for all shifts is compulsory.
