Brain Tumour Symptoms

A brain tumor can be simply defined as the mass or growth of abnormal cells in a brain. There are different types of brain tumors, among which some are benign or noncancerous and few are malignant or cancerous.

These tumors can either be a primary brain tumors, which begins in the human brain or the secondary brain tumors, which begin in other parts of the body and spread to the brain.

Symptoms of Brain Tumour

The symptoms of a brain tumor mainly depend on the size, type, location, and growth of tumor cells . The symptoms are mainly caused when:

  • A tumor harms a part of the brain.
  • The brain swells because of the buildup of fluid.
  • A tumor blocks the flow of cerebrospinal fluid through and around the brain.

General signs and symptoms of brain tumors include:

  • Fatigue
  • Seizures.
  • Confusions.
  • Drowsiness.
  • Vision problems.
  • Hearing problems.
  • Nausea and vomiting.
  • Problems with memory.
  • Unable to concentrate.
  • Gradual loss of sensation.
  • Muscle jerking or twitching.
  • Problems in balancing or walking.
  • Changes and difficulties in speech.
  • More frequent and severe Headaches.
  • Numbness or tingling in the arms and legs.
  • Changes in mood, behaviour, and personality.
  • Difficulties in arms, hands, feet and legs movements.
  • Common problems related to lactation or breastfeeding.
