General Questions

1. Who can participate in this Contest?

Any Indian student studying in classes 4-10 in any board (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, NIOS etc.) is eligible to appear in Round 1 (hereinafter “Student”). The Student’s participation in Round 2 is voluntary and based on (a) Round 1 Performance and (b) Possession of a valid passport, and (c) Having a legal guardian with a valid passport.

2. How to take part in this Contest?

Register and take the BYJU’S Scholarship Test (BST) on any of the dates: Aug 21, Aug 28, and Sep 4, 2022. Apply online at www.byjus.com/bst/

Register using your personal details and a valid mobile number.

3. Does participating in this Contest involve any cost?

The contest is free and open to all eligible students.

4. Is there a sample test paper?

No

5. What are the stages? How is it organised??

  • Round 1 – BYJU’S Scholarship Test (BST) to be held online on Aug 21, Aug 28, and Sep 4, 2022. To log in, students must use their mobile number and a system-generated password. Timings would be:
    • Class 4,5,6: 10 AM – 10:45 AM
    • Class 7 & 8 : 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM
    • Class 9 &10 : 3 PM – 4:15 PM
  • Round 2 – 3 best-performing students per grade for each BST shall be selected for Round 2. The Student and their legal guardian (who shall be accompanying them to Australia if they win) will be required to travel to any BYJU’S Tuition Centre convenient for them. The tests will be conducted on Sep 2, Sep 3, Sep 9, and Sep 10, 2022. The qualifying students from Round 1 will receive a confirmation call and need to book their preferred slot for taking the Round 2 test. Round 2 shall be a written test with the students grouped as per their grades:
    • Group 1 – Classes 4 & 5
    • Group 2 – Classes 6, 7 & 8
    • Group 3 – Classes 9 & 10
  • Winners: 3 Students (1 per grade group) shall be declared as winners as per their performance in Round 2

6. How can I prepare for the Round 1 test?

The test shall have questions mapped to concepts which the Student would have learnt in school. The exact syllabus of the test can be found below in the ‘Questions on Round 1 – BYJU’S Scholarship Test’ section

7. Can the test be retaken?

Yes, you can register for future Round 1 – BSTs, but only 14 days after the last BST you took.

9. How will I be communicated if my ward has qualified for Round 2?

Qualifiers from Round 1 will receive a separate email from BST_ICCT20WC@BYJUS.COM and will also receive a phone call. If you don’t receive any mail or call regarding Round 2, it means your child did not clear Round 1

10. How do I register for Round 2?

The registration for Round 2 shall be carried out over a call with a BYJU’S representative. The call will

  • Congratulate the Student as they proceed to the second round of the competition
  • Confirm that the Student and parent or legal guardian (who shall be accompanying them to Australia if they win) have valid passports and will need to agree to the specific Terms and Conditions of the competition, which would be a requirement to proceed to the second round
  • Explain that the second round will be held at a BYJU’S Tuition Centre and suggest the nearest centre to them as per the city entered by them during BST registration
  • Confirm their acceptance or rejection to participate in the second round
    • If the Student rejects participation, an email will be sent recording their rejection of the opportunity
    • If the Student accepts participation, an email will be sent recording their acceptance, the details of BYJU’S Tuition Centre where they shall take the Round 2 test and the agreed time slot.

11. Do I have to carry any documents for Round 2?

Qualifiers from Round 1 and one parent (who would travel with them to Australia) will need to carry their valid passport to BYJU’S Tuition Centre for taking the Round 2 Test. Participants will be rejected if either they or their parents don’t carry their passports to the BYJU’S Tuition Centre.

12. What are the prizes for the Contest?

  • Round 1 – Students can get up to a 100% scholarship on BYJU’S programs based on their performance in BST.
  • Round 2 – 3 winners (accompanied by one legal guardian each) will get an opportunity to attend the India vs. South Africa ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match taking place in Perth, Australia on Oct 30, 2022). BYJU’S shall help arrange the visa, travel, food, and lodging for the trip.

13. My child/ ward is studying outside India. Can my child/ ward still participate in the Contest?

No, the student needs to be an Indian citizen residing in India to be eligible for this contest

14. How are the results calculated?

  • Round 1 – The top 3 students per grade for each BST from each grade shall be selected for round 2 based on their scores in the BYJU’S Scholarship Test and the time taken for them to complete it.
  • Round 2 – The 3 winners shall be selected based on their scores in the round 2 test. Out of 60 questions, 50 Questions are single choice option based and 10 are Integer based. In case of tie up, integer based answers would be given preference followed by marks in science section.

15. When will the winners be announced

13th Sept on BST website. Also, winners will receive a congratulatory email and a phone call to start their VISA process.

17. Can the test be taken in any other languages other than English?

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN ‘BYJU’S SCHOLARSHIP TEST – BE A CHAMPION, WATCH THE CHAMPIONS’ CONTEST

The BYJU’S SCHOLARSHIP TEST – BE A CHAMPION, WATCH THE CHAMPIONS CONTEST (“Contest”) is brought to you by Think & Learn Private Limited (“BYJU’S” or “Company” or “We” or “Us”). These Contest Terms & Conditions (“Contest Terms”) along with the privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) govern your participation in the Contest. Please read the Contest Terms before registering for the Contest on https://byjus.com/bst/ (“BST Website”). You agree that, by participating in this Contest, you will be bound by these Contest Terms and you acknowledge and agree that you satisfy all Contest eligibility requirements as provided herein below. The Contest Terms are in addition to the terms of use of www.byjus.com (available at https://byjus.com/tnc_app/#tncdesc) and the Privacy Policy of www.byjus.com available at https://byjus.com/tnc_app/#privacy_policy) to which you agree by using www.byjus.com and/or the mobile applications of the Company (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Company Terms” and such website and mobile applications of Byju’s shall be referred to as “Byju’s Products”). To the extent the Company Terms are inconsistent with the Contest Terms, these Contest Terms will prevail with respect to the Contest only.

For the purposes of these Terms:

  1. Student” shall mean any individual below the age of 18 (eighteen) years studying in any school in India from grade 4 to grade 10 (both grades included and hereinafter each grade referred to as a “Grade”). If a Student wishes to participate in the Contest, such participation in the Contest is permitted only upon the Student’s legal guardian or parents, agreeing to these Contest Terms. Further, if the Student participates in the Contest, it is assumed that he/she/they have obtained the consent of their legal guardian or parents and such use is made available by the relevant Student’s legal guardian or parents (the Student’s legal guardian or parent who is registering the Student for the Contest shall be referred to as “you” or “your”).
  2. Terms” shall mean the Contest Terms and the Company Terms.
  3. Reward” shall have the same meaning as provided under clause 5 of these Contest Terms.
  4. Scholarship” shall have the same meaning as provided under in 4.1(d) of the Contest Terms.
  1. INTRODUCTION
  2. The Contest shall comprise of the two following rounds:

    1. Round 1 – On successful registration for the Contest, the Student shall be eligible to participate in Round 1 of the Contest by appearing for the BYJU’S Scholarship Test, to be held online on 21-August2022, 28-August-2022, and 04-September-2022 (each BYJU’S Scholarship Test is referred to as a “BST”). You shall use the mobile number provided to us, at the time of registration for Contest, to have the Student log in to the portal (https://byjus.com/bst/) must use their mobile number and a system-generated password.
    2. Round 2 – 3 top scorers from each grade for each BST shall be selected for Round 2. In case the Student qualifies for Round 2, you will receive a call and/or an email from BYJU’S to to opt for and confirm your preferred slot for taking the Round 2 test at one of the BYJU’S Tuition Centres, on any one of the available dates, 02-September-2022, 03-September-20223, 09-September-2022, or 10-September-2022, as opted by you, for the Student to take the test for Round 2. Post receipt of your confirmation on the location of BYJU’S Tuition Centre and the date so opted for the Student to take the Round 2 test, Company shall share a record of your confirmation and relevant information about the location and date of the test (as opted by you over the call and/or email received from the Company), with you over email for record purposes. In case you do not provide your confirmation for the Round 2 test to the Company within the applicable period or reject to apply for Round 2 test, the Company shall share the record of your rejection for Round 2 test over email. Round 2 shall be a written test with the students grouped as per their grades: You hereby understand that in order for the Student to appear for Round 2, you will accompany the Student to the BYJU’S Tuition Centre, as opted by you, and that all costs and expenses for travel, accommodation (if any) for the Student to appear for Round 2 test shall be entirely borne by you. Byjus shall not be responsible or liable, in any manner, for any such expenses or costs associated thereof, for the Student to appear for Round 2 test.
    3. The qualifying Students who appear for the Round 2 test, shall be divided into 3 groups, based on their Grade, as follows –

      • Group 1 – Grades 4 & 5
      • Group 2 – Grades 6, 7 & 8
      • Group 3 – Grades 9 & 10

      (each group, as abovementioned, shall hereinafter be referred to as a “Group”. Also, Round 1 and Round 2, shall hereinafter collectively be referred to as “Rounds”).

    4. Winners: Total 3 Students (i.e., 1 top scoring Student from each Group) shall be declared as Winners (as defined below) as per their performance in Round 2.

    Tests for both Rounds of the Contest shall have a set of critical thinking and knowledge based questions that provide a unique platform for the Students to compete and win Scholarships and Rewards. More details are provided hereinbelow for your reference.

  3. Eligibility for participating in the Contest:
    1. This Contest is being conducted for Students between Grade 4 and Grade 10 (both grades included) studying in schools in India, who have obtained their parents’/ legal guardians’ permission to participate in the Contest and whose parents/ legal guardians (as the case may be) consent to being bound by the Terms and the Privacy Policy.
    2. If you have the ability to enter into a legally binding contract and you register, approve and consent to the participation of the Student in the Contest, you represent and warrant that you are such Student’s parent or legal guardian and you agree to be bound by the Terms on behalf of such Student, including without limitation being liable for all use of the Byju’s Products by the Student. Further, you hereby covenant that you will cause the Student to use the Byju’s Products strictly in accordance with the Terms and all such terms contained herein or otherwise, shall be enforceable against you and you shall be responsible for all losses or liabilities incurred by the Company due to any breach of the Terms by the Student and/ or you. You hereby acknowledge that the Company may choose, but is not obligated, to make any inquiries, either directly or through third parties, that the Company deems necessary to validate the information provided by you and your status as parent or a legal guardian, unless required under applicable laws.
    3. You hereby represent that, in order to participate in Round 2 test to win the Reward, the Student and you have a valid passport issued by the Government of India which will stand valid as of October 30, 2022.
    4. The Company will not be responsible for any consequence that arises as a result of misuse of the Contest or otherwise, that may occur by virtue of any person including a minor registering for the Contest without your consent. You warrant that all the data provided by you is accurate and complete and that the Student participating in the Contest has obtained your consent. The Company reserves the right to terminate the Student’s participation in the Contest if it is discovered that the Student is under the age of 18 (eighteen) years and the consent to participate in the Contest is not provided by his/her/their parent/legal guardian or any information provided by you is inaccurate. You acknowledge that the Company does not have the responsibility to ensure that you conform to the aforesaid eligibility criteria. It shall be your sole responsibility to ensure that you and the Student meet the required qualification.
    5. It is hereby clarified that any Student not meeting the eligibility requirement set out hereinabove shall not be eligible to participate in the Contest and shall immediately stop using the Byju’s Products accessed in relation thereto.
    6. NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE COMPANY CANNOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY ANY YOU AND THE COMPANY IS NOT OBLIGATED TO VERIFY THE IDENTITY OF ANY STUDENT OR YOU, INCLUDING YOUR CLAIM TO BE A PARENT OR A LEGAL GUARDIAN OF THE STUDENT, OR TO VERIFY THAT YOU ARE THE PARENT OR THE LEGAL GUARDIAN AS IDENTIFIED BY A STUDENT DURING REGISTRATION OR USAGE. YOUR REGISTRATION MAY BE CANCELLED BY THE COMPANY AT ANY TIME AND WITHOUT WARNING, FOR ANY FAILURE TO ABIDE BY ANY OF THESE TERMS.
    7. Please note that participation in or winning Scholarships or Rewards under the Contest does not require purchase of any of the products offered by the Company.
  4. Binding Agreement:
    1. By continuing to sign up for the Contest or allowing the Student to participate in the Contest using Byju’s Products thereof, you signify your acceptance of the Terms which takes effect on the date you register the Student to participate in the Contest, and create a legally binding arrangement with the Company, to abide by the same. By accepting the Terms, you also accept and agree to be bound by Company’s policies, as amended, from time to time in accordance with the Terms. The Terms and registration form (if any) constitute the entire contract between the User(s) and the Company with respect to the Student’s participation in the Contest, superseding any prior written or oral contracts in relation to the subject matter herein.
    2. Please note that we reserve the right to modify/ update the whole or any part of the Terms at any time by providing you with a 24 (twenty four) hours’ notice. It is your responsibility to review the Terms for modifications/ updates and analyze its impact on yourself. In the event that any update/ modification to the Terms is not acceptable to you, please feel free to email us at bstqueries@byjus.com and if we are unable to address your concerns, please refrain from using Byju’s Products and/or avoid having the Student participate in the Contest. The Student’s continued participation in the Contest or your continuous use of the Byju’s Products will be deemed to mean that you accept and agree to be bound by such modified/ updated Terms.
    3. PLEASE READ THE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING OR ACCESSING THE BYJU’S PRODUCTS (INCLUDING THE STUDENT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST). IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS AND, PLEASE DO NOT USE (OR PERMIT THE USE BY THE RELEVANT STUDENT) OF THE Byju’s Products.
    4. The Terms are electronic records in terms of the Information Technology Act, 2000, the applicable rules thereunder (as amended from time to time) and the provisions pertaining to electronic records in various statutes as amended by the Information Technology Act, 2000 and are published in accordance with the provisions of Rule 3(1)(a) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
    5. While the Terms will apply to your and/or the Student’s use of the Byju’s Products, there may be additional terms (such as the terms imposed by the mobile application stores like Apple’s AppStore, Google’s Play Store, from time to time) which will govern the use of the Byju’s Products. These additional terms to the extent applicable are hereby deemed to be incorporated in the Terms by way of reference.
  5. Contest Details and the Rounds Involved for the Scholarships & Rewards

    4.1 Round 1: Round 1 shall be the BYJU’S Scholarship Test, having objective type questions divided into the sections, as provided hereinbelow, to be held online as per the following pattern. In case two or more Students have the same scores in Round 1 test, the Student who has taken lesser time to complete the test and submit the responses will be given priority over such other Students having the same scores, in order to break the tie amongst the Students.

    1. Eligibility for Round 1: Apart from the eligibility criteria set out in clause 2 above, you shall be required to register on – (a) https://byjus.com/bst/ or on (b) the ‘Registration page’ on BYJU’S The Learning App by providing all the details requested therein, basis the registration period of such available date of the Round 1 test.

    4. Results for Round 1: The performance reports for the relevant Student appearing for the BYJU’S Scholarship Test in Round 1 shall be sent via email to you, within 03 (three) days from the date on which the Student takes the test. Students shall be eligible for award of scholarships from the Company as per the criteria provided under clause 4.1(d).
    5. Award of Scholarship for Round 1: Based on the percentile score of the Student in the BST, such Student shall be eligible for a scholarship on Byju’s Products (“Scholarship”). Company’s representatives shall contact you to inform about the relevant Scholarship, the Student is eligible for as per his/her/their BST score.

    4.2 Round 2: Round 2 shall be in the form of an offline test to be taken by the Student at a BYJU’S Tuition Centre at such a date, as opted by you. The test for Round 2 shall have the following pattern:

    1. Details of Round 2 Test:
      1. The test for Round 2 shall contain objective type questions having one correct answer.
      2. In case two or more Students have same marks/ scores in the Round 2 test, the following criteria shall be followed to break the tie amongst the Students. The Student scoring highest marks in the sections as per the following order shall be given priority –
        • 1st priority – Highest marks in Integer section;
        • 2nd priority – Highest marks in Science section;
        • 3rd priority – Highest marks in Mathematics section.
    2. Eligibility for Round 2: Apart from the eligibility criteria set out in clause 2 above,
      1. As per the terms mentioned in clause 1(ii) above, the top 3 scorers from each Grade for each BST in Round 1, shall be intimated by the Company about qualification for Round 2 of the Student, through bst_icct20wc@byjus.com over your email and/or by over call, provided by you to BYJU’S at the time of registration for the Contest (“Top Student” and such intimation the “Intimation”), and
      2. Upon Intimation over call and/or email, the parent or legal guardian of the Top Student shall be required to register the Top Student for Round 2 over the call to the Company, by providing all the details requested therein within 1 day of the Intimation and
      3. In the event the Student’s parent or legal guardian refuses to participate in the Round, then the next top scorer may be considered by the Company, as the Top Student, for the Round 2 test. On receipt of confirmation from the parent or legal guardian of the Student, such Student may be considered as qualified for Round 2, whereby 3 Top Students from each Grade per BST appear for the Round 2 test; and
      4. Please note that failure to register the Top Student within 1 day of the Intimation will render the Top Student ineligible for appearing and taking the Round 2 test conducted by the Company, and
      5. The Top Student and the parent or legal guardian (who shall be accompanying the Top Student for attending the Match (as defined below) in Australia, if the Student is declared as one of the winners of the Contest) will be required to come to BYJU’S Tuition Centre location, as agreed upon by you and present valid passports of both the Top Student and the parent or legal guardian for verification by Company representatives and the parent or legal guardian shall be required to execute necessary documents as required by the Company , which shall be kept by the Company as for its records, and
      6. the Top Student shall be accompanied by the parent/ legal guardian for taking the offline test at the Byju’s Tuition Centre on such date, as opted you for the Round 2.
    3. Dates on which Round 2 will be Conducted: 02-September-2022, 03-September-2022, 09-September-2022, and 10-September-2022.
    4. Results for Round 2: Results of Round 2 shall be announced on 13-September-2022 on the BST Website. One Student each Group, scoring the highest marks in the Round 2 test shall be eligible for the Reward as per the criteria provided under clause 4.2(d)(i) hereinbelow. (each a “Winner”). Such Winners shall receive the result for Round 2 from the Company, over a call or on the email ID, provided by you to BYJU’S at the time of registration for the Contest, to start the process for VISA application.
      1. Please note that for Winners of the Contest, (a) any costs, except for the expenses for VISA application, Match tickets, travel to the relevant hotel from and/or to the airport and/or the Match venue, food, lodging of the Winner and one accompanying legal guardian or parent, shall be entirely borne by the parent/ legal guardian or you; (b) BYJU’S is not responsible for the management of the hotels and airlines, booked by BYJU’S for Winners and their parents/ legal guardians accompanying them for their visit to Australia for attending the India vs. South Africa ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match taking place in Perth, Australia on October 30, 2022 (“Match”) and the Match. BYJU’S will not accept any liability or claims whatsoever for any issues or disputes in relation to the safety, security, management or any other issues that arise at the hotels or airlines, or during the Winners and their respective parent’s/ legal guardian’s visit to Australia; (c) all costs for registration and issuance of passport, if required, shall be borne by you of the parent/ legal guardian of the Winner; and (d) any additional costs incurred due to Force Majeure Event (as defined below), including without limitation, floods, natural disasters, war, acts of terror, political unrests, strikes, lockdowns, pandemics, technical snags, acts of God, or any unforeseen circumstances or any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Company (such as, cancellation of flights or any change in the flight timings) shall be borne by the parent/ legal representative for himself/ herself and on behalf of the Winner.
      2. Company shall guide each Winner and one parent/ legal guardian accompanying of each of the Winners for the VISA application related formalities and processes. In case of failure to avail the VISA/ rejection of the VISA application or any other issues arising out of procuring the VISA, BYJU’S shall not be held liable for such issues.
  7. REWARD FOR THE WINNERS
    1. The 03 Winners of the Contest, will stand a chance to win fully paid tickets for himself/ herself/ themselves and one parent/ legal guardian of such Winner to attend the India vs. South Africa ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match taking place in Perth, Australia on October 30, 2022, with the expenses for VISA application, travel, food, and lodging also paid by the Company (hereinafter “Rewards”).
    2. The Company will select the Winners and sponsor all the Rewards as set out in these Contest Terms. It shall do so based on its internal criteria and evaluations. The Company’s decision in this regard shall be final and binding and you shall not have any right to interfere in any manner whatsoever in the selection of the Winners.
    3. The Rewards shall be non-transferable and non-assignable. Except the expenses such as for the VISA application, travel, food, costs of accommodations, Rewards, any other costs and expenses shall be borne by the Company.
    4. Any and all Rewards for the Contest shall be awarded “AS IS” and “WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND”, express or implied, (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).
    5. If any Rewards cannot be made available to the Winners of the Contest due to the restriction imposed by applicable law, Force Majeure Event, or for any other reasons, then in such an event Company may, at its sole discretion, not award any of the Rewards. All taxes, levies and duties due and owing under applicable laws in connection with any Scholarships and/or Rewards, if any, and other related costs shall be borne by the parent/ legal guardian for himself/ herself and on behalf of the Winner.
  8. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARENTS/ LEGAL GUARDIANS OF THE STUDENTS
    1. You (representing the Students) shall be responsible to monitor concerned Student’s participation in the Contest.
    2. You hereby grant the Company a non-exclusive, non-terminable, unrestricted, royalty free, worldwide right to use the name, likeness, image, voice, and/or movements, registered and/or captured by means of photographs, audio, sound recordings, visual recordings, video recordings of the Student and/ or you, the literary and artistic works created by the Student and/or you and/or otherwise captured by the Company as part of recording the feedback, testimonial in connection with the Contest and/or BYJU’S Products or services (collectively “Material”) and hereby expressly consent to the usage, processing (in any manner whatsoever) of Material and/or the information belonging to the Student or you (including any personal information) in connection with the Material, which personal information, you have expressly & voluntarily provided to the Company for participating in the Contest.
    3. You hereby irrevocably and unconditionally assign to the Company, on royalty-free basis, all rights, titles and interests, including, without limitation, all copyright and derivative rights created under the laws of India and all analogous rights in all other jurisdictions and all renewals and extensions thereof and other intellectual property rights, whether subsisting now or created at any time hereafter (collectively the “Rights”) in and to the Material, such assignment being effective as of the date of creation of Material and any such elements created thereof, and being made for the duration of protection of intellectual property rights throughout the world without any limitation as to medium, sector of market, purpose or other limitations relating to the scope of the assignment so that the Company be the absolute and exclusive owner of all Rights in and to such Material.
  9. OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
    1. In order to conduct the tests effectively, Company shall require you to share the name, Grade, city and State of current residence of the Student, your email ID, you contact number (if any), without compromising on any personal data that ought to be protected as per Privacy Policy.
    2. Company reserves the sole right, without any liability and without previous notice, to add, withdraw, alter, modify, change, or vary all or any of the specific details of the Contest, at any time. It also has the sole right to replace the Contest with any another contest as may be decided by the Company and accordingly may decide to have rewards for the winners of such contests. Company further reserves the right to discontinue the Contest or any part thereof at its sole discretion without any obligation to assign any reasons or sending notifications of such discontinuation/ cancelation.
    3. All Byju’s Products, any information regarding the Contest as well as the tests/ quiz that form part of the Contest are provided on an ‘as is’ basis without warranties of any kind. Company makes no representations and disclaims all express and implied warranties as to the accuracy of the content, timeliness or completeness of the Contest. Company does not guarantee any benefits (implied or otherwise) from participation in the Contest.
    4. Under no circumstance shall Company be liable to you (representing the Students) or any other third party for any loss of profits or loss of opportunity, accuracy of the content, benefit from or quality of the Contest, purpose of Contest or any other indirect, special, consequential, incidental, exemplary or punitive damages whatsoever, even if they have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
    5. Company shall not be responsible for – (a) lost, invalid, misdirected, late, incomplete, or unintelligible entries or for inaccurate entry information, whether caused by you (representing the Students) or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of entries; (b) misplacing results of the Students by any technical or human error that may occur in the evaluation; (c) printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with or used in the Contest; (d) any error in the operation or transmission, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, or for technical, network, telephone, computer, hardware or software, malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive any entry information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or (e) injury or damage to computer or mobile resulting from downloading any registration forms/ materials in connection with the Contest.
    6. By participating in Contest, you (representing the Student) agree that the personal information may be collected on the Company’s behalf by others associated with, and/ or assisting in organizing and administering of the Contest and same may be inter alia used to intimate you (representing the Student) of the contest information pertaining to the Company, in the future.
    7. Company may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any individual/ Student found to be: (a) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; (b) acting in violation of the Terms; or (c) acting in an unethical or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person or third party.
    8. Communication to You: Any communication relating to the Contest from Our end will be sent to you over your preferred mode of communication, basis your acceptance of any applicable terms of usage for such mode of communication.
    9. The dates for the Contest shall be determined by the Company and the same shall not be subject to any change at the behest of you (representing the Students).
    10. Contest is subject to Force Majeure Event including without limitation, floods, natural disasters, strikes, lockdowns, war, acts of terror, political unrests, pandemics, epidemics, technical snags, acts of God, or any unforeseen circumstances or any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Company (“Force Majeure Event”). Company shall be not liable for any delay or adverse effect caused to the Students in Contest including the Winners as a result of a Force Majeure Event.
    11. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you (representing the Students), by entering the Contest, expressly discharge and release the Company from any claim, liability, action or demand arising out of or in connection with the Contest or its rewards.
    12. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Company, and any of its employees, officers or agents from and against any and all claims, actions, suits or proceedings, as well as any and all losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or accruing from: (i) infringement of any copyright or trademark made available on the Byju’s Products; (ii) any misrepresentation made by you in connection with the Contest; (iii) any non-compliance by you with the Terms; (iv) claims brought by persons or entities arising from or related to Student’s or your involvement with the Contest; (v) acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any Reward or participation in any Contest related activity or participation in the Contest.
    13. This Contest is being conducted purely on a “best effort” basis and participating in this Contest is voluntary. By allowing the Student to participate in the Contest, you will be legally bound hereby, to release from liability, and hold harmless the Company, and any of its affiliates, employees or agents representing or related to the Company and its services/ products. This release is for any and all liability for personal injuries (including permanent disability or death), property loss or damage, and misuse of the benefits/ rewards offered under this Contest, in connection with any activity or directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, or participation in the Contest, even if caused or contributed to by Company’s negligence.
    14. The Terms set out herein are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. All disputes arising in relation to the Contest are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru only.
