Light or visible light is an electromagnetic radiation present on the electromagnetic spectrum. This particular part of the spectrum enables us to actually see “light.” Or in more technical terms, objects reflect certain colours of the spectrum when light falls on them.
That is the reason why apples are red – pigments on the skin called anthocyanins absorbs all colours of visible light, except the colour red. Similarly, oranges appear orange because all colours of the visible light are absorbed except orange.
