NDA Cut Off 2023 - Maths and GAT, NDA 1 Cut Off

The NDA/NA Exam is administered by the Union Public Service Commission in order to choose candidates for training at the esteemed National Defence Academy, through this entrance test, candidates are recruited into the Navy, Army and Air force wings of National Defence Academy.

Following the administration of the exam and the release of the results, UPSC announces the NDA cut off. Only candidates with scores higher than the cutoff are chosen in the end.

Following the release of the final results, the NDA cutoff for both exam sessions is made public. The written exam and final selection have independent NDA cutoffs. A total of 900 marks are used to determine the written exam cutoff. The last recommended candidates’ scores out of 1800 points (900 from the written exam and 900 from the SSB Interview) are used to determine the final selection cutoff. For each topic, the mandated qualifying NDA cutoff marks are 25%.

The written exam and SSB Interview have separate cutoff marks that candidates must meet in order to pass the NDA exam. The NDA cutoff determines which applicants are suggested for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of National Defence academy and Naval academy.

NDA Examination Overview:

The NDA Examination consists of two papers:

  1. The second paper is the GAT (General ability test) which has two sections:
    • General English
    • General Knowledge.

    The maximum marks for the GAT Paper is 600 marks.

  2. The first paper is Mathematics consisting of 120 questions, the maximum marks for this paper is 300 marks.

NDA Cut off Resolution of Ties:

The following considerations are taken into account by the Commission to break a tie if two or more candidates receive the same overall scores in the NDA exam.

  • In the event of a tie in scores, the candidate who is older is ranked higher.
  • When a candidate’s age and marks are the same, the candidate with the higher written exam score is given the higher rank.
