AMU CAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The Examination Controller Authority at Aligarh Muslim University determines the eligibility criteria for AMU CAT. The candidates must read all the points listed in the Eligibility Criteria carefully to ensure their eligibility to appear in the exam. The following Eligibility Criteria must be satisfied by the candidates participating in AMU CAT 2023:

  1. The candidate must be an Indian National.
  2. Candidates must have pursued their graduation with 50% or more aggregate marks from a recognised Institution or University.
  3. Candidates must have graduated either from the 10+1+3 or the 10+2+2 system.
  4. Candidates in the last year of their graduate degree programme are also eligible to apply provisionally.

AMU CAT 2023 Exam Pattern

The AMU CAT is conducted for admission to various post-graduate programmes offered at Aligarh Muslim University. These programmes include an MBA in Agri-Business, MBA in Hospital Administration, Master of Social Work (MSW), Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM), MBA in Islamic Banking, MBA in Islamic Banking and Finance, and MBA in Financial Management.

The examination will be conducted in a computer-based, online mode. The question paper will consist of four sections. The total time provided for solving the question paper is two hours. The maximum marks for the examination are 200. Section B is applicable for the MBA in Hospital Management course carrying 50 questions; this section carries 50 marks and should be completed within 1 hour by the candidate. AMU CAT 2023 Syllabus

The AMU CAT 2023 syllabus is decided by the examination conducting body, i.e. Aligarh Muslim University. The syllabus is designed and aimed to assess candidates’ aptitude in management skills. Solving the question in the question paper will require sound analysing of the given data, logical thinking, and quantitative analysis. The topics to be prepared for the AMU CAT 2023 examination are of Grade 10 or Graduation level.

Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation aims to assess a candidate’s ability to analyse the given data and bring out the result from it. While the aim of Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension is to assess a candidate’s grammatical knowledge and vocabulary, Quantitative Ability aims to assess the mathematical skills of the candidate. Steps to Fill Out AMU CAT 2023 Application Form

The candidates can fill out the AMU CAT 2023 Application Form online on the official AMU website, i.e. amucontrollerexams.com. The steps to fill out the Application Form Online are as follows:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website.
  • Step 2: Click on the “AMU CAT 2023 Registration” link. Fill in all the details required for registration. The login credentials will be received on the registered email ID and mobile number.
  • Step 3: Candidates need to log in with the credentials received and fill in all the required details, such as personal, academic and address details.
  • Step 4: After filling out the online Application Form, the candidate will be redirected to the payments page to pay the application fees online. Candidates can pay fees using a credit card, debit card or net banking.
  • Step 5: The last step is to submit the Application Form.

After the submission of the online Application Form, the candidates will receive a confirmation for the same on their registered email ID and mobile number.

AMU CAT 2023 Admit Card

Admit Cards for AMU CAT were released online on the official website. The Admit Cards will be available 15 days prior to the examination. Only the candidates who have filled out the Application Form successfully can get an Admit Card for the AMU CAT 2023.

The AMU CAT 2023 Admit Card will consist of the following information: candidate’s name and application number, date, time and day of examination, candidate’s photograph and signature, exam centre code and address, and the subject of examination. It is mandatory for the candidates to take the Admit Card to the examination centre on the day of the examination.

The steps to download the Admit Cards are:

  1. Visit the official website.
  2. Click on the “Download AMU CAT 2023 Admit Card” link.
  3. Enter the unique Application/Enrollment number, and then click on “Submit”.
  4. Download the AMU CAT 2023 Admit Card that will be carried along by the candidates on the day of the examination.

AMU CAT 2023 Results

AMU CAT 2023 Results will be declared online shortly after the AMU CAT 2023. Candidates can download their Results online from the official website, i.e. amucontrollerexams.com. Candidates must take a printout of the Results and keep it for future references, such as for Counselling and admissions.

The AMU CAT 2023 Results will contain the following details: Roll number, name of the candidate, date of AMU CAT, subject, maximum marks of the examination, rank secured, and the marks scored by the candidate in each section, along with the total marks scored.

AMU CAT 2023 Counselling

Only qualified candidates are allowed to participate in the AMU CAT 2023 Online Counselling. The AMU CAT 2023 Counselling dates will be declared on the official website after the declaration of the results. During the Counselling, candidates will be able to select the course and the AMU campus of their choice. The AMU exam controller authority will then decide and allot the university and course to the candidate based on their marks in Grade 10 and 12 examinations, their marks in graduation, availability of seats on the selected campus and the rank and marks secured by the candidate in AMU CAT 2023.

The AMU CAT 2023 Counselling process will proceed in four steps:

  1. Registration: After the declaration of the AMU CAT 2023 results, the selected candidates will be called for Counselling. To ensure their participation in the AMU CAT Counselling, the candidates will have to register themselves online on the website.
  2. Documents Upload: As a part of the Counselling registration process, the candidate will have to upload scanned copies of the required documents. The required documents include (but are not limited to) a Grade 12 examination mark sheet, candidate’s photograph and signatures, transfer certificate, character certificate, and category certificate.
  3. Choice Filling: As the mandatory step, the candidates will have to select the course and campus of their choice in order to complete the Registration process. The last step of AMU CAT Counselling Registration is to submit the registration form.
  4. Documents Verification: All the documents uploaded by the selected candidates will go through a verification process by the Examination Controller Authority of Aligarh Muslim University. In case any document is rejected by the Examination Controller Authority, the candidate will have to upload the correct documents again.
  5. Seat Allotment: The Examination Controller Authority allots the course and the college to the candidate based on the following criteria: the choice of preference of the candidate, availability of seats, marks and score in AMU CAT, and the marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying exam.
  6. Reporting to the Venue: To accept admission to the given course at the allotted college, the candidates will have to report to the allotted college within the stipulated time and pay the admission fee. In case of failure to do so, the candidate’s admission will be cancelled for that academic year.
