Assam PAT 2023 - Assam Polytechnic Admission Test

Assam PAT 2023: The Assam Polytechnic Admission Test (Assam PAT) is a state-level examination, conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). The choice filling for Assam PA started on 10th April 2023, on the official website. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) extended the last date for Assam PAT choice filling to 5th May 2023 at 5 PM. The results of Assam PAT were announced on the official website. Assam PAT was conducted on 18th June 2023, from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.

Candidates have many options to choose from the list of courses, as the Assam PAT is conducted for admissions to several courses. The courses include Diploma courses in various streams, and the list of all the streams in these Diploma courses is given below.

List of Assam PAT 2023 Exam Centres and Cities

The list of the examination centres in the concerned cities is given in the table below. Candidates are advised to check all the examination centres for the ease of their travel to the examination centre.

Assam PAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The DTE has listed some eligibility criteria, such as the age limit, domicile, qualifications, etc. The candidates must satisfy all the eligibility criteria to appear for the Assam PAT. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

2. The unreserved/OBC/MOBC category candidates must not be more than 20 years six months of age as of December 31, 2023.
3. The SC/ST candidates must not be more than 23 years six months of age as of December 31, 2023.
4. The candidate must have passed Grade 10 or an equivalent examination.
5. The candidate must have studied Science and Mathematics in the qualifying examination.
6. For admission to Diploma in Engineering, the minimum percentage obtained in Grade 10 or equivalent for general category candidates is 40%.
7. For admission to Diploma in Engineering, the minimum percentage obtained in Grade 10 or equivalent for SC and ST category candidates is 35% and 33%, respectively.
8. Domicile: The candidates must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam State. Candidates must submit the Permanent Residence Certificate on the day of the Counselling Process.
9. NCC Quota: Candidates participating via the NCC Quota will be considered for admission based on the NCC Examination Certificate received from the Commanding Officer of the National Cadets Corps.
10. Sports Quota: DTE specifies the following criteria for candidates participating in admissions through the sports quota:
11. The candidate must be a winner of any State Championship/Tournaments/State Level Games that may be organised by either of the Assam Olympic Association/State Sports Association/Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Assam.
12. The admissions will be confirmed based on the medals received by the candidate.
13. The candidate must have won the medals within a period of three years.

Assam PAT 2023 Exam Pattern

The Assam PAT is conducted offline or in pen & paper mode. The total given time for completing the examination is 2 hours. The question paper shall include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The subjects included in the Assam PAT for pursuing a Diploma in Engineering courses are Science and Mathematics. The question paper will consist of 100 questions with one mark each. The maximum marks of the question paper are 100.

Assam PAT 2023 Results

The results of Assam PAT 2023 will be announced soon on the official website of DTE, i.e. www.dte.assam.gov.in. The results are available only in the online mode. Candidates must log in to their candidate portal to check their Assam PAT 2023 scores. Only qualified candidates will be called for the Counselling Process.
