CUSAT CAT 2023

The Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test (CUSAT CAT) is conducted for admissions to various programmes, including engineering, environmental studies, medical sciences and technology, humanities, social sciences and technology, law, and marine sciences.

CUSAT CAT 2023 Important Dates

For proper planning and execution, candidates must be aware of the dates of important events of the CUSAT CAT 2023. The important dates and events of CUSAT CAT are given below:

CUSAT CAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) determines the Eligibility Criteria for CUSAT CAT. The Eligibility Criteria is defined with respect to the programmes offered at the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). The common age criteria for all the participating candidates is that there is no age limit the candidate must look up to.

The programme-wise Eligibility Criteria are given below:

1. For B.Tech Marine Engineering:
   • Candidates must have passed Grade 12 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from the Kerala Board or any other Board of Education in India.
   • Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects for the qualifying examination.
   • Candidate must have passed with at least 50% marks in English in Grade 10 and Grade 12 examinations.
   • Candidates must submit fitness certificates for physical fitness and eye fitness. Both certificates must be obtained from the Medical Examiners and approved by DG Shipping.
2. For B.Tech in Instrumentation and Technology
   • Candidates must have passed Grade 12 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
   • Candidate must have passed with at least 55% marks in Mathematics in the qualifying examination.
3. For B.Tech in Polymer Science and Engineering:
   • Candidates must have passed the Grade 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as optional subjects or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
   • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics.
4. For B.Tech in Naval Architecture and Ship Building:
   • Candidates must have passed Grade 12 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from the Kerala Board or any other Board of Education in India.
   • Candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with the other subjects in the qualifying examination.
   • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics.
   • Candidates must have scored a total of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics combined.

CUSAT CAT 2023 Exam Pattern

The Exam Pattern for the CUSAT CAT is designed by the Cochin Institute of Science and Technology. CUSAT CAT is conducted on an Online Computer Based Test (CBT). The CUSAT CAT 2023 Exam Pattern provides information like the number of questions, distribution of marks, and marking scheme. The Exam Pattern for CUSAT CAT 2023 with exam codes 101 and 104 are given below:

CUSAT CAT 2023 Syllabus

The CUSAT CAT 2023 includes topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The topics are chosen from the examination point of view. The CUSAT CAT 203 Syllabus consists of topics from Grade 11 and Grade 12 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates must read the CUSAT CAT 2023 Syllabus carefully before starting their preparation for the examination.

CUSAT CAT 2023 Application Form

The applications for CUSAT CAT 2023 have been closed. Candidates had to fill out the Application Forms before the applications’ closing date. The Application Process for CUSAT CAT 2023 involves the following steps:

1. Registration: Candidates need to fill out their basic details on the official website under the CUSAT CAT 2023 Registrations tab and click on “Submit” to complete the registration process.
2. Log in with the received credentials.
3. Fill in all the details required in the Application Form, and upload scanned documents.
4. Payment of Application Fee.

Candidates must ensure that their details in the CUSAT CAT 2023 Application Form match their details in the Grade 10 Report Card.

Candidates must go through the “Instructions to be followed while filling out the Application Form” before filling out the CUSAT CAT Application Form 2023.

Candidates must take at least two printouts of the CUSAT CAT 2023 Application Form and Fee Receipt for future reference. To begin with the Online Application, candidates must be aware of the CUSAT CAT 2023 Application Form Fee. Candidates can pay the Application Form Fee by credit card, debit card, net banking or any other online mode of fee payment. The list of banks for paying the CUSAT CAT 2023 Application Fee via net banking is given in CUSAT CAT 2023 Application Form.

CUSAT CAT 2023 Admit Card

The CUSAT CAT 2023 Admit Cards were released on the official website on 24 April 2023. Candidates can download their CUSAT CAT 2023 Admit Cards from the official website, i.e. admissions.cusat.ac.in. Candidates were advised to download and take at least two printouts of the Downloaded Admit Card. The CUSAT CAT 2023 conducting body, i.e. Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), will not send or post the CUSAT CAT 2023 Admit Cards to any candidate individually. Candidates must carry the printout of the Admit Card and a photo ID card for the verification of identity on the day of examination. In case of failure to bring to Admit Card and the photo ID card to the examination centre, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

The steps to download the CUSAT CAT 2023 Admit Card are:

1. Visit the official CUSAT CAT 2023 official website.
2. Click on the “CUSAT CAT 2023 Admit Card” tab on the Homepage.
3. By clicking, the candidate is redirected to the candidate’s profile page. The candidate must enter the login credentials and go to the “Download Admit Card” tab.
4. The Admit Card opens up on the screen with a “Download Admit Card” click button. The candidate must press the “Download Admit Card” button to download the CUSAT CAT 2023 Admit Card to one’s computer.

The CUSAT CAT 2023 Admit Card will contain the following details:

• Candidate’s Name
• CUSAT CAT 2023 Application Number
• Exam Code
• Exam Centre Code
• Exam Name
• Exam Time and Duration
• Address of the Exam Centre
• University’s Stamp
• Scanned Photograph of the Candidate
• Scanned Photograph of Candidate’s Signature

CUSAT CAT 2023 Results

The Results for CUSAT CAT 2023 will be released in the form of Rank Lists. CUSAT CAT 2023 Results for UG programmes will be available on the official website, i.e. admissions.cusat.ac.in. The Rank List was released a few weeks after the conclusion of the exams.

To know their scores and rank for the CUSAT CAT 2023, candidates must check their Results online on the official website in the candidate profile. Candidates must fill in their usernames and passwords for logging into their CUSAT CAT accounts. The CUSAT CAT 2023 Results are important for the candidate’s admission. So, the candidates must keep their CUSAT CAT 2023 Results, or Rank Lists safe till the completion of the Admission Procedure. The qualifying candidates will be called to participate in the further rounds of CUSAT CAT 2023 Counselling to complete the Admission Process.

The CUSAT CAT 2023 Result of each candidate will include details like the candidate’s name, candidate’s roll number, marks obtained by the candidate, rank secured, institute and the examination’s name, and signature or stamp of the authoritative body of CUSAT CAT 2023.

CUSAT CAT 2023 Answer Key

The CUSAT CAT 2023 Answer Key will be released a few days after the conduction of the examination. The CUSAT CAT 2023 Answer Key will contain only the correct answers to the questions in the CUSAT CAT 2023 Question Paper. However, the challenge to the Answer Key facility was also available in case of objections raised by the candidates in the Official CUSAT CAT 2023 Answer Key.

CUSAT CAT 2023 Counselling

The CUSAT CAT Counselling is the final and conclusive step of the CUSAT Admissions Process. The CUSAT CAT 2023 qualified candidates will be called to participate in CUSAT CAT 2023 Counselling, followed by admissions. Candidates must make sure that their eligibility is satisfactory for the purpose of admissions. If a candidate is found to not be eligible at the time of admission, then the candidate will be debarred immediately from the overall Admission Process. Satisfying the CUSAT CAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria is necessary for all candidates.

The Seats will be allotted based on the candidate’s CUSAT CAT 2023 marks, CUSAT CAT 2023 rank, and the seat availability in the preferred course. After the allotment of seats to the candidates, they must pay the admission fee within the stipulated time to confirm their acceptance of the allotted seat.

Note: If the candidates fail to pay the CUSAT Admission Fee after the allotment of seats within the stipulated time, then the candidature of the candidates will be cancelled. These candidates will not be considered for any subsequent rounds of counselling. However, such candidates may try to get a spot admission (if available).
