INI CET stands for Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test. INI CET is conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. The examination aims to assess the participating candidates for admission into various postgraduate courses such as Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctorate of Medicine (DM), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), and Master of Chirurgiae (MCh).
INI CET scores are accepted by 12 AIIMS campuses, including AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Delhi, AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Raipur, AIIMS Nagpur, AIIMS Rishikesh, AIIMS Bathinda, AIIMS Bibinagar, AIIMS Deoghar and AIIMS Mangalagiri, along with other institutes including NIMHANS Bengaluru, PGI Chandigarh, SCTIMST Trivandrum and JIPMER Puducherry. INI CET is conducted twice a year, once in the January session and then in the July session.
INI CET 2023 is schedued to be held in two sessions, i.e., January and July sessions. INI CET 2023 January session was conducted on 13th Nov 2022 and results declared on 4th Feb 2023. AIIMS has announced the schedule for the INI CET 2023 July session.

INI CET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the INI CET 2023, candidates must check their eligibility for the exam. If a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility criteria, then their candidature will be cancelled. Some important INI CET 2023 eligibility criteria are given hereunder.
- There is no age limit for the candidates appearing in INI CET 2023.
- There is no limit to the number of attempts for a candidate. Candidates can appear in INI CET as often as they want.
- There is no limit to the nationality of a candidate. All Indian, Foreign, OCI and NRI candidates are eligible to appear in the exam.
- The candidates must have pursued an MBBS or BDS degree course from a recognised institution.
- The candidates from the General/ OBC/ General PwD categories must have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 55% marks.
- The candidates from the SC/ ST/ SC PwD/ ST PwD categories must have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% marks.
- Candidates must have completed an internship of 12 months on or before January 31, 2022.
INI CET 2023 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for INI CET is designed by AIIMS. The exam pattern for INI CET 2023 will be released by AIIMS in the official information brochure. INI CET is conducted in an online Computer-based Test (CBT) mode. The INI CET 2023 question paper will consist of 200 objective/Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), in which the candidate will be provided with four sets of options having only 1 correct answer. INI CET 2023 Syllabus
AIIMS determines the syllabus for INI CET. The syllabus for INI CET 2023 will be released along with the Official Information Brochure. The INI CET 2023 question paper will depend on the courses and colleges selected by the candidates in the INI CET Application Form. Although the INI CET syllabus, including subjects, topics and questions in the INI CET 2023 question paper, depends on the course and campus of preference of the candidate, the core syllabus for the examination is based on the curriculum taught in the MBBS programme.
INI CET 2023 Application Form
The applications for INI CET January 2023 Session were invited from September 2022. For seeking admission to the postgraduate medical courses offered at the AIIMS campuses, candidates must fill out the INI CET 2023 registration form by the third week of September 2022. Candidates can find the link to fill out the INI CET application form online on the official website, i.e. aiimsexams.ac.in.
For the online application, candidates must first register themselves and create a profile by clicking on the “INI CET 2023 Registrations” tab on the official AIIMS Delhi website. The candidates must register only with a valid phone number and email ID as these will be the only source of communication with the organising committee during the complete admission process. After the registration, the candidates must log in with the credentials received and fill in the details required in the INI CET application form. The candidates must also upload the scanned copy of specific documents in the desired format and then submit the INI CET application form by paying the application form fee.
INI CET 2023 Admit Card
The INI CET admit cards will be released only for the candidates who have successfully completed the application process. The INI CET January 2023 admit card will remain available on the candidate’s portal till the day of examination. Candidates must take the printout of the downloaded INI CET admit card. Candidates must carry the printout of the admit card and a photo ID card for the verification of identity on the day of examination. In case of failure to bring the admit card and the photo ID card to the examination centre, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
INI CET 2023 Results
To know their scores and the status of qualifying for INI CET 2023, candidates must check their results online on the official website. AIIMS Delhi will release the INI CET January 2023 results on the official website in the month of November (tentative). The qualified candidates will be called for INI CET 2023 Counselling.
