SRMHCAT stands for SRM University Haryana Common Aptitude Test. The Test is conducted by the SRM University Sonepat, located in Haryana, for accepting admission of meritorious candidates to various UG and PG courses available at the university on the SRMHCAT basis. The courses covered for admissions include engineering, management, commerce and law at UG and PG levels.

The examination conducting body used to conduct examinations for each course separately. But now, a single examination is conducted for admissions to all the courses, i.e. the SRM University Haryana Common Aptitude Test (SRMHCAT). As many as 25% of the total seats are reserved for the Haryana domicile candidates. The candidates, domicile of Haryana, must appear in the SRMHCAT in order to avail of the Haryana Domicile Scholarship provided by the SRM University of Haryana by means of SRMHCAT.

For proper planning and execution, candidates must be aware of the dates of important events of the SRMHCAT 2023. The important dates and events of SRMHCAT are given below:

SRMHCAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The SRM University, Haryana, determines the Eligibility Criteria for SRMHCAT. The Eligibility Criteria are defined concerning the programmes offered at the SRM University, Haryana.

The Eligibility Criteria are given programme-wise below:

1. For Admissions to B.Tech:

• Candidates must have passed Grade 12 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate in all subjects from a recognised education board of India.
• Candidates awaiting Grade 12 Results or appearing for the same are also eligible to apply for SRMHCAT.

1. For Admissions to B.Com:

• Candidates must have passed Grade 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised education board of India.
• Candidates still appearing for Grade 12 examinations are also eligible to apply.

1. For Admissions to LLB, MBA and MA in English courses:

• Candidates must have pursued an undergraduate degree course from a UGC-approved institution in India.
• Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks during graduation.

1. For Admissions to B.Com LLB. BBA LLB, BA LLB and Integrated MBA:

• Candidates must have passed Grade 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised education board of India.
• Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks during graduation.

1. For Admissions to M.Tech courses:

• For a Specialisation in Mechanical: Candidates must have a B.Tech or BE graduate degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Aeronautics/Production/Automobile with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
• For a Specialisation in Computer Science: Candidates must have a B.Tech or BE graduate degree in Information & Technology/Computer Science/Electronics and Communication/Electronics and Instrumentation/Electronics and Telecommunications with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Courses Available at the SRM University, Haryana

SRMHCAT 2023 Exam Pattern

SRM University of Haryana determines the Exam Pattern for the SRMHCAT. SRMHCAT is conducted in both the Online Mode (Computer Based Test or CBT) and Offline Mode (Pen and Paper Based Test). The SRMHCAT Exam Pattern for all the UG and PG courses is the same. Candidates must check the Exam Pattern before preparing for the examination. The Exam Pattern provides important information about the subjects to be prepared, weightage of each topic/subject, number of sections, marks carried by each section, marks carried by each question, types of questions, the total number of questions, mode of examination, duration of examination and the total marks of the examination. So, the candidates must go through the SRMHCAT Exam Pattern thoroughly.

SRMHCAT 2023 Syllabus

Candidates preparing to appear for SRMHCAT 2023 must be well aware of the topics to be prepared for admission to their desired programme. The SRMHCAT Syllabus is based on the previously qualified academic level. The total duration of the SRMHCAT 2023 examination is 1 hour and 30 minutes (a total of 90 minutes). The examination is conducted both Offline (Pen and Paper based examination) and Online (Computer Based Test or CBT) Mode.

SRMHCAT 2023 Application Form

The Applications for SRMHCAT 2023 were accepted online by filling out the Online Application Form. The SRMHCAT Application Process ended on January 17, 2023 The SRMHCAT Application Fee is one-time payable and non-refundable. In case of failure to appear for the examination, the Application Fee will not be refunded to the candidate.

SRMHCAT 2023 Admit Card

The SRMHCAT 2023 Admit Cards will be available only for those candidates who have applied successfully, along with paying the Application Fee. The SRMHCAT 2023 Admit Cards were released 10 days before the examination. Candidates were advised to download and take at least two printouts of the downloaded Admit Card. Candidates must note that the SRMHCAT 2023 conducting body, i.e. SRM University, Haryana (SRMHCAT), will not send or post the SRMHCAT 2023 Admit Cards to any candidate individually. Candidates must carry the printout of the Admit Card and a photo ID card for the verification of identity on the day of examination. In case of failure to bring the Admit Card and the photo ID card to the examination centre, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination. SRMHCAT 2023 Results

The SRMHCAT 2023 Results were released on the official website, i.e. srmuniversity.ac.in. The candidates were intimated about the results by the university. The scorecards were released a few weeks after the conclusion of the exams. The qualified and shortlisted candidates were called for SRMHCAT Second Phase of Admissions.
