The most sought-after management examination registration is intended to close on 22nd September at 5 PM. CAT aspirants are advised to fill up the registration form to avoid any last moment rush. The opening date for registration was 8th August, and everyone was notified through leading newspapers and press releases. As suggested by the CAT 2016 convenor, Prof. Rajendra K. Bandi, by going through the last two years trends, there is a huge surge in last minute registration which leads to server failure during the registration process.
Prof. Rajendra Bandi suggested to register for the CAT 2016 as soon as possible and recommended not to:
- Wait until the last moment but to register in advance
- Let your amount stuck due to bad response time from servers
- Expect extension time from IIM-B
- Invite any last minute technical glitch due to heavy traffic on the site
This year IIM – Bangalore is hosting the examination and have made few necessary changes required keeping in mind the ease of candidates.
Re Correction in Form Now Possible:
Candidates who have already registered for CAT exam will be able to check and change if any error occurs while filling the registration process. Candidates can be able to modify the entered details from 1st October to 5th October. They can check their work experience, marks obtained or the programme selected and change if entered anything by mistake. This facility was not provided to the candidates until last year.
Sample paper and Admit Card to be out on October 18th:
Issuance of CAT Admit Card will be on 18th October. The candidates will be able to print their admit card from 18th October till the time of examination. Candidate will also be able to check the sample paper on the official site of CAT – IIM and practice through the same. The sample will give the aspirants a clear picture about this year pattern and the number of questions from each section.
Be ready with details before starting registration:
Candidates should be prepared with their details beforehand for starting the registration process. The window will be active for thirty minutes within which the candidates have to enter all the details in the form to be able to register successfully.
