Candidates who appeared for CAT exam on November 29th, 2015 who were eagerly waiting for their results are now in a fix as the results were leaked by some hackers. The hackers are making it available to all the CAT test takers and has raised discussions through social media sites. CAT test takers received an SMS on their registered mobile number notifying that the results are out. CAT portal’s log in page is blocked as of now.
Though IIM Ahmadabad officials announced that the result will be out on 12th January 2016. This unofficial declaration of CAT results have ignited discussions among MBA aspirants in various MBA forums. It’s clear that there’s no official announcement of result. This has raised panic among CAT test takers.
Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted on 29th of November 2015, is one of the most sought after management entrance exams for MBA aspirants who seek admission to the top B Schools of India for the academic year 2016 – 2017.
The CAT 2015 result declared the sectional scores and overall percentile. All the sections contained equal marks. As far as the marking scheme is concerned, each question carried 3 marks and each wrong answer carried a negative mark of 1 and MCQs type didn’t bear any negative markings. This year there was a huge change in the structure of CAT exam.
As disclosed on many MBA discussion forum and other groups, hackers hopped in to the result page source code. The CAT officials have now disabled the official login page.
This year it has been reported that around 2,18,664 candidates registered for the test while only 1,79,602 candidates appeared. This CAT score will be valid till December 31st, 2016 and the candidates score card will be available on the official portal.
CAT has been ranked as the most competitive examination in India for selection into top B Schools. 1.7 Lakh+ students compete for close to 1500 seats in the top institutes.
