After the release of CAT 2017 results, IIM Indore has recently released the shortlisting criteria for their PGP and PGP-HRM courses. IIM Indore shortlists the candidates based on the CAT scores, gender diversity and academic performance. The final selection depends upon the Written Ability test and Group Discussion. Nearly 1400 test takers have been shortlisted for GD-PI by IIM Indore this year.
CAT 2017 Cut-offs for IIM Indore
The cut-offs for IIM Indore has always been high and this year also, a candidate has to secure at least 90 percentile to be shortlisted. Apart from the overall percentile, IIM Indore also puts sectional cut-offs. The detailed information about the cut-offs is given below.

Apart from the CAT scores, IIM Indore also considers other factors for shortlisting the candidates. The details of shortlisting factors are mentioned below:
- 20% weightage to CAT score
- 76% weightage to academic performance
- 4% weightage to gender diversity
Almost 1400 candidates have been shortlisted for the GD-PI rounds to fill 560 seats in the institute this year. It is important to note that the personal interview will commence on February and candidates can appear for their screenings in any of the major cities including Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad and New Delhi.

- Click on “Shortlist for WAT & PI Batch 2018-20 for PGP-Indore / PGP-Mumbai / PGP-HRM” in the “Announcement” space on the official website.
- Click on “SHORTLIST FOR WAT & PI BATCH 2018-20 FOR PGP – INDORE / PGP – MUMBAI / PGP – HRM” in the new window.
- Fill CAT Registration number, Email ID and security code.
- Click on “login” button.
- Candidates who are shortlisted will see a congratulation message.
It should be noted that the candidates who cleared the overall CAT 2017 cut off but failed to clear sectional cut-offs are not shortlisted.
Seat Intake Details of IIM Indore
IIM Indore has two campuses situated in Indore and Mumbai. Last year, there were 530 seats in total. The Indore campus took 455 candidates, whereas, the Mumbai campus granted admission to 75 candidates.
For 2018-2020 batch, IIM Indore launched a new course called PGP-HRM and increased the total capacity to 560. 30 students will be taken for the PGP-HRM course in both the Indore and Mumbai campuses individually.
