IIM Ranchi

IIM-Ranchi was the ninth Indian Institute of Management which was established in 2010. IIM Ranchi was founded with significant support from the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta and the Government of Jharkhand. A two-year MBA in General Management, a full-time two-year MBA in Human Resources Management, a government-funded fellowship programme called the Fellow Program in Management, and a 24-month part-time Diploma in Management are now provided at IIM Ranchi. In 2009, India’s HRD Ministry proposed and received approval for six new IIMs as part of the Five-Year Plan. Apart from teaching, the programmes are delivered to international standards, with students being exposed to industrial visits, case studies, relevant projects, and relevant industry experience.

IIM Ranchi Scholarships

IIM Ranchi provides complete financial and other support to PhD students

• Four years of financial support, with the possibility of an extension if the committee approves.
• The tuition fee is waived for the duration of the programme. On the campus, both bachelor and married, single students are welcome to stay for free. Married accommodations may provide factors such as availability.
• If married students want to rent a two-bedroom apartment, they will be responsible for half of the rent. The students will be responsible for all additional costs, such as electricity, water, and housekeeping.
• A monthly stipend of Rs. 30000 is offered for the first two years. After clearing the comprehensive exams at the end of the second year, the monthly stipend will be increased to Rs. 35000 per month for the remainder of the programme.
• A contingency grant of Rs. 100000 is available for the purchase of resources, stationery, printers, pen drives, electronic devices, internal/external hard discs, and other items. A computer, software, and other accessories would be purchased for the first/second year with Rs. 50000.
• In the first four years, financial support and a conference grant are offered for presenting papers at four national and one international conference.

• The apartment complex consists of three and four-bedroom flats that are fully furnished, serviced, and equipped with five-star amenities. A mess and a cafe are located on each block and are open for around 20 hours each day. A medical dispensary is also available.
• Each flat has three or four bedrooms, as well as a living room and a kitchen. The flats’ rooms are all single occupancy and equipped with an intercom, as well as data and voice ports for the telephone, campus LAN, and the Internet. Housekeeping services are also offered.

IIM Ranchi successfully completed summer placement for batches 2020-22. There were 256 students for the batch. The summer placements attracted 135 companies in total. The placement campaign attracted 68 new recruiters.
