Some are of the National level like CAT, MAT, XAT etc. and some are of State level like – ICET, KMAT, TANCET etc. Other than these, there are GRE, GMAT & TOEFL exams which let you pursue higher studies or MBA abroad.

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a computer adaptive test, conducted by GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) worldwide throughout the year. More than 2,100 international colleges are offering 5900 and more programs to the GMAT qualified candidates. The total GMAT score is 800. It contains four sections namely: Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA), Integrated Reasoning (IR), Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Reasoning. The cost of GMAT is US$250.00. This is an international test conducted in India. However, there are several Indian B-schools who accept GMAT scores.
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a computer-based uniform test. The candidates who are willing to get enrolled in international Graduate or Business Schools are required to qualify it. The test is conducted and administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). The exam contents are verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, and critical thinking skills. The cost to take the test is US$205.
