Colleges Accepting CAT Score

Top Colleges Accepting CAT Score 2023: Every candidate who wishes to pursue an MBA dreams of pursuing it in a top management institute. But not everyone is lucky enough to make it to the top B-schools in the country, namely, the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). Since their establishment, much has changed in the world of the Indian business and education system. Please refer BYJU’S CAT College Predictor tool.

Many other B-schools were established, and some of them have earned a spot among the top B-schools in the country. Nowadays, candidates have a wide range of colleges and courses to choose from, and the selection criteria are not always as stringent as that of the IIMs. That being said, the cut-offs are still pretty high.

In the article below, we have shared a list of colleges accepting CAT Score, including both IIMs and Non-IIMs.

CAT Colleges Admission Eligibility

According to the general eligibility criteria, a candidate requires the following qualifications to pursue an MBA:

  • Minimum of 50% in graduation from a recognised university or college.
  • Minimum of 50% in Class 10 and 12 from a recognised board.
  • CAT, XAT, MAT, NMAT, SNAP, and GMAT scores as required by the Institute.

There is no age limit, and although it is not mandatory, most B-schools prefer candidates with significant work experience.

Parameters to be Judged in CAT Accepting Colleges Selection Round

Furthermore, the candidate will be evaluated based on the following three parameters:

  • Leadership Potential

The applicant’s leadership ability is gauged by the initiatives they have undertaken in their academic and professional lives.

  • Profile

A different job profile with extracurricular achievements, social work, good projects, and internships is often encouraged.

  • Academic Credentials

Candidate’s academic record and test scores will be considered. However, the cut-off of XAT, GMAT, and CAT varies from college to college.

What is CAT Exam?

CAT (Common Admission Test) is a computer-based national-level test conducted every year by IIM, which is the admission criterion to get into IIMs and other top B-schools. All the top management schools, like IIMs and non-IIMs, have their cut-offs, and students who are selected have to undergo other rounds of tests, which include the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

The cut-off for IIM and other B-schools varies every year depending on the number of candidates who applied and the availability of seats.
