Indo – China
Indo-China relations (China-India or Sino-Indian) is the term given to the bilateral relations between the countries of India and the People’s Republic of China (PRC). Historically both the ancient countries have had ties dating as far back as 2000 years ago, but the modern relationship started in 1950. That was when India gave formal recognition to PRC as the legitimate government of Mainland China. Doing so, India became one of the first countries to sever ties with the Republic of China (Taiwan). India and China are the world’s most populous nations and also the major fastest growing economies in the world today. Boost in the political and economic influences of both countries has enhanced the importance to their mutual relationship.
