What is RSS Ideology?

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is an organisation established in 1925, that believes in promoting and upholding Indian culture. RSS has established many schools, charities and clubs. It is headquartered in Nagpur. They believe in the idea of Akhand Bharat. RSS was banned once during the rule of British and post independence it was banned thrice. There are around 5 million to 6 million people voluntarily working with this organization. However, this organization has been facing heavy criticism from Liberals as their ideologies are different.

How Many RSS Branches are Located Across the Globe?

Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) is a subsidiary of RSS. It is currently active in 39 countries. The list of some of the countries where they have branches are given below.

Can a Girl Join RSS?

Only men are allowed to join RSS. Rashtriya Sevika Samiti is a women’s organization that works on the same lines as Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

RSS was founded by Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, a doctor working in Nagpur.
