UPSC Prelims 2020 is going to take place on 4th October 2020. UPSC Exam Dates for Mains 2020 have been revised too and now the Mains exams are scheduled from 8th January 2021. The revised date of IAS Prelims 2020 has been declared by UPSC on 5th June 2020. The commission, on 20th May, has notified that after assessing the situation amid Coronavirus pandemic; it will release the new exam date of IAS Prelims. Earlier, the prelims exam date was 31st May 2020, however, in the UPSC Notification dated 4th May 2020, the commission had announced to defer the UPSC Prelims 2020 till further notice.
UPSC Interview 2019/ Personality Test for CSE Mains 2019 for remaining candidates is going to be resumed from 20th July 2020. Commission has notified that the candidates whose interview has been due, will be informed individually by the commission.

Union Minister of State (PMO) Jitendra Singh had earlier already stated about the postponement of the UPSC exam date of Prelims.
The UPSC exam dates are released by the Union Public Service Commission in their annual official calendar. As per the UPSC calendar 2020, the first stage of the Civil Services Exam i.e. IAS Prelims is scheduled on 31st May 2020. The aspiring IAS Prelims candidates have to fill the online application and registration before March 3, 2020 (the last date for the receipt of applications).

The complete exam schedule for the UPSC 2020 (Mains) is yet to be released. Earlier the UPSC Exam Date for Mains was 18th September 2020 onward. The change in exam dates was announced on 5th June 2020.
