UPSC Civil Services Examination:
The UPSC Civil Services Examination is conducted by the UPSC annually for recruitment of candidates for the Indian Administrative Services, Indian Foreign Services, Indian Police Services, Indian Revenue Services etc. The examination is conducted in three stages, the UPSC Preliminary Examination, UPSC Mains Examination and the Personality Test. Only those candidates who manage to clear all the three levels of the examination, in one attempt will make it to the final merit list. A good ranking in the final merit list matters, as the ranks of the candidates are considered while allocating the services. It is possible to get the desired service only with a good ranking.
The Commission issues the UPSC notification every year, stating the number of vacancies for the particular year, the dates for upsc online form submission as well as the dates of examination. The UPSC IAS online form has to be duly filled in by the aspirants willing to take up the examination and submitted before the last date specified in the notification. However, it is important to note that merely filling in the UPSC IAS online form will not be counted as an attempt. A candidate must appear for the IAS Prelims, and only then will it be counted as an attempt in the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
One must note that adhering strictly to the upsc online form date is important as the examination is conducted once a year only. One missed date would mean, one missed year. The other information such as the name of the candidate, date of birth, educational qualification, personal details need to be filled in with utmost care in order for the application to get accepted. It is important to read thoroughly and adhere to the instructions mentioned by the commission while filling in the UPSC online form.
