What is the full form of MA?

The full form of MA is a Master of Arts. Master of Arts is a postgraduate course that generally takes two years to complete. Graduate candidates can only take an MA course. MA is a professional course that gives students a comprehensive knowledge of the topic they have selected. Applicants may receive MA either as part-time or full-time courses. Most universities also offer MA courses in the distance or correspondence form.

Eligibility criteria

Before applying for enrollment to the MA course, applicants need to meet the eligibility criteria, which are listed below.

  • Candidates should have finished a Bachelor’s degree preferably arts of a minimum period of 3 or 4 years with their comparable (10 + 2 + 3 or 10 + 2 + 4) from the university recognized under UGC.
  • Applicant must have an aggregate of at least 55 per cent at graduation course. The cutoff differs for different colleges.
