The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur is going to close the registration for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 without late fee on September 30, 2022.
GATE 2023: Registrations for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 is now open.As per the schedule released, the deadline to submit the application form without late fees is September 30, 2022. Candidates are advised to meet the given deadlines and apply for the examination as soon as possible. The application forms are available at gate.iitk.ac.in.
The official schedule states that candidates can apply for the examination till October 7, 2022, but will have to pay late application submission fees. The application fee is 850 for each paper if candidates apply for the exam till September 30, 2022, and if they apply after that, the application submission fees will increase to 1,350. In the case of foreign nationals, the application fee till September 30, 2022 is 1,700 for each paper, and if they pay after that, they will have to pay 2,200.
Candidates who are currently enrolled in their third or higher year of any undergraduate degree programme or who have completed any government approved degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts are eligible to take the exam.Mentioned below are steps through which candidates can apply for GATE registration.

- In order to apply for the examination, candidates need to go to the GATE website – gate.iitk.ac.in.
- Click on the login tab, which will be available on the homepage.
- Feed in the required details in order to get registered on the website.
- Use the system-generated login credentials then to access the account.
- Key in the required personal and educational information.
- Check all the details provided and then pay the application fees.
- Check all the details and then submit the application form.
- Download the confirmation page and then take a printout.
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national level examination that will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Science, IISc Bangalore, and seven out of 23 IITs ( Indian Institutes of Technology), namely, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee, on behalf of the National Coordination Board.
