Educational Requirements for ICMR JRF 2023
Educational qualification is the most important factor that the exam conducting authority always checks.
- Candidates having an M.A. or M.Sc. from any recognised university may apply for this exam. The M.A. or M.Sc. in one of the following fields—life sciences or social sciences—must be successfully completed.
- Applicants should earn a minimum of 55% on their M.A./M.Sc. final exam (50% for SC/ST).
- Postgraduate students in their last year are also eligible to apply for this position, however, they will only be admitted conditionally. They will only be given consideration if they get the minimum number of points needed to apply for the ICMR JRF Recruiting campaign after completing their post-graduate studies.
ICMR JRF Age Limit
Below are the age limit criteria for becoming eligible for the ICMR exam.
- Upper age limit: 28 years
- 5 years age relaxation is always given to the SC/ST candidates
- 3 years age relaxation will be given to OBC candidates
Important note: If candidates want to receive an age reduction, they must produce a certificate proving their eligibility; otherwise, the age reduction will not be granted.
