Kerala SET is a state-level exam, conducted by LBS (Centre for Science and Technology) to initiate the screening process for teaching posts at Higher Secondary Schools in Kerala state. In 2023, the exam was conducted successfully conducted on 22 January 2023, and the result was released by the exam conducting authority on 1 March 2023.

Kerala SET 2024 Overview
The LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, administers the Kerala State Eligibility Test for the candidates for the position of Higher Secondary School Teachers and Non-Vocational Teachers in VHSE in different schools in Kerala. It is defined as a mandatory criterion for candidates to be designated as Higher Secondary School Teachers in this State.
It is of 4-hour duration exam in which the aspirants have to give two papers. Paper 1 is common for all candidates, but Paper 2 contains subject-specific questions in which the candidate had a specialisation at the post-graduation level. There are 31 subjects in total to appear in the Kerala SET Paper 2 exam. The list is below:

Eligibility to Appear in Kerala SET
The candidates must complete post-graduation in respective subjects with at least 50% in aggregate from a recognised university. Additionally, the candidates should have a B.ED degree in any stream from universities in Kerala or have the same qualification from other universities. - Candidates who are from SC or ST groups are given a 5% mark reduction on the minimum score needed to be qualified to take the Kerala SET.
- There is no mandated age limit for applicants who want to appear for the state eligibility test.

The section process of the Kerala State Eligibility Test consists of the below-mentioned steps:
- Stage 1: Fill out the application form online after it is released. You must submit the form and exam fees on or before the official schedule.
- Stage 2: Download the admit card from the official website. Check all the details that are mentioned in the hall ticket are correct as the authority will use these details for future communication.
- Stage 3: Appear for the exam on the scheduled exam date.

The LBS Center publishes a syllabus for the Kerala SET every year. The syllabus for Papers 1 and 2 differs. General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude themes are covered in Kerala SET Paper 1 curriculum.
