The Osmania University will conduct the State Eligibility Test (TS-SET) during the 1st or 2nd weeks of March 2023 to determine the eligibility of Telangana Students for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor & Lecturer in Telangana Universities and Colleges.
The TS-SET examination will be conducted in General Studies and 29 subjects in CBT mode in Telangana State. The exam will be conducted at 10 different exam centres in Telangana.

The eligibility criteria for TS SET 2022-23 are as follows:
- Candidates must have at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree (i.e., M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MLISC, M.Ed., M.PEd., MCJ, LLM, MCA and M.Tech (CSE & IT only)) to be eligible for applying for TS SET.
- Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s Degree course or the candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited, or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for the TS-SET exam.
- Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Post Graduation only.
- There is no upper age limit for the TS SET exam.

TS SET Exam Application
- Candidate registering for the TS-SET exam must apply online only on the TS-SET website: www.telanganaset.org.
- Before applying, candidates must have scanned copies of the following documents:

- Passport size photograph in JPG format of minimum 20 kb to 40 kb. The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
- Signature in JPG format of minimum 5kb to 20 kb. The dimension of the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height).
- Caste Certificate in JPG format of minimum 50 kb to 300kb

- Candidates must save a copy of the application form once completed for future reference.
TS SET Exam Admit Card
The TS- SET exam admit card for 2022 will be uploaded on the website during the last week of Feb 2023. Candidates must download their hall ticket well in advance and note the exam centre and other details to avoid the last-minute hassle.
Candidates will not get a physical admit card from the conducting body through the post; thus, they need to be careful with the downloaded one.
TS-SET Exam Pattern
The TS-SET exam will consist of two papers. There will be only objective-type questions, and the exam will be held in 3 Hours of duration in a single session
Question paper for Paper-I is common for all subjects, and it will be bi-lingual (English and Telugu). Paper II of certain subjects will also be bilingual. Paper II will have all compulsory questions covering the entire syllabus.

Paper 1 will consist of 50 MCQs compulsory questions, each carrying two marks. The questions will be designed to measure the candidate’s teaching/research ability. It will largely be aimed at assessing the candidate’s reasoning skills, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness.
Paper – II will consist of 100 objective-type compulsory questions, each worth 2 marks and will be based on the subject chosen by the candidate.

TS-SET Result
Candidates will be able to check their results on the official website a few weeks after the TS-SET exam is conducted.
Candidates must remember that the number of applicants qualified for Assistant Professor shall be equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared in both the papers of the TS-SET exam.
