About the HBSE 12th Board
The Board of Secondary Education, Haryana is responsible for conducting the Class 12 Board Exams every year. The HBSE 12th Board decides the dates of the examinations for both theoretical and practical exams, and is in charge of regulating all the other activities to ensure smooth functioning of the exams. After being successful in their 12th Board Exams, students can now enroll themselves into a college of their choice.
Students usually fear facing the board exams. To remove this feeling of anxiety and exam fear students have to study throughout the year. Then only they will feel confident during the exams. For this it is necessary that students should have a proper study plan right from the beginning of the academic session. - Total Number of Students: The average number of students appearing for the HBSE 12th exams has been roughly around 2.2 lakhs. The numbers showed a remarkable increase in the year 2017, when 2,50,447 students appeared for their Class 12 HBSE Exams. In 2021, 2,21,263 students appeared for their HBSE 12th exams, which was higher than the previous year numbers. 2023 saw a 2,63,409 students appearing for the HBSE Class 12 board examinations. Here is a comparison of the number of students appearing for the HBSE 12th exams over the last few years.

- Overall Passing Percent: The performance of students in HBSE 12th exams has been increasing gradually over the years. In 2016, 62.40% of the students had passed, and this percentage decreased slightly in 2018, with 63.84% of the students passing. The percentage kept on increasing and in 2020 80.34% of the students passed. However, in 2021, all of the students appearing for the HBSE 12th exams had successfully qualified. This year (2023) saw an overall pass percentage of 81.65%. The girls have been consistently outperforming the boys. Below is a comparison of the passing percentage of the students year-wise.
