IIFT MBA (IB) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the NTA. IIFT has its institutes in Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada. IIFT notification is released usually in the month of September. IIFT is a computer-based test usually held on the first Sunday of December. The duration of the IIFT exam is 120 minutes. Eligible candidates can apply for the IIFT exam through the official website of IIFT. The aspirants require a Bachelor’s Degree of a minimum three years from a recognised university in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in case of general category and 45% in case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PWD)

IIFT Admission
Candidates are selected on the basis of the computer-based test, Group Discussion, Writing Skills Assessment, and Interview. Candidates are required to appear for the IIFT entrance test first and then the shortlisted candidates will be called for a Writing Skills Assessment, Group Discussion/Extempore, and Interview. IIFT selection criteria takes place in two stages:
- Shortlisting
- WAT-GD/Extempore-PI
Stage 1: Shortlisting
The candidates will be shortlisted based on the IIFT entrance exam scores including sectional-cut-off. In addition to this Marks obtained in X, and XII will be considered. The table below summarizes the shortlisting criteria for stage-1.

Stage 2: WAT-GD/Extempore-PI
In addition to the IIFT entrance test candidates will have to appear for Writing Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview. The candidates will be evaluated on the factors summarized in the table below for the final selection.
