What is IIFT?

IIFT stands for Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. The institute was set up in 1963 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. The flagship programme offered by IIFT is MBA (IB) at 3 campuses – Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the IIFT exam on behalf of the institute. The IIFT 2023 exam is expected to be conducted on 4th December 2022 (usually on the First Sunday of December). IIFT 2022 was conducted on 5th December 2021. However, due to the cyclone, in 7 cities the IIFT 2022 was conducted on 23rd December 2021.

Candidates aiming for IIFT need to appear for the computer-based entrance exam. The candidates who will be shortlisted will then appear for the Group Discussion, Writing Skills Assessment, and Interview. The IIFT 2023 notification will be released tentatively around September 2022 and the last date to register for IIFT 2023 will tentatively be in November 2022. The IIFT exam consists of 4 sections namely Quantitative Analysis, Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness.

Important Highlights of IIFT 2023 Exam

IIFT exam is conducted only in English. There are 4 sections in the paper. However, candidates need to note the marking scheme of the General Awareness section as the marks differ from other sections. The important highlights of the IIFT exam are given below:

IIFT 2023 Important Dates

The official notification regarding IIFT 2023 is yet to be released. However, it has been seen that IIFT has been conducted on the first Sunday of December. It is expected that IIFT 2023 will be conducted on 4th December 2022. Candidates can check the important dates given below:

Candidates need to register for the IIFT 2023 by logging in to the official website of IIFT. The candidates are required to fill the form online.

IIFT 2023 Exam Pattern

Candidates must be aware of the IIFT 2023 Exam Pattern in order to ace the exam. The IIFT exam pattern 2023 consists of 4 sections- Quantitative Analysis, Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes. As the paper consists of negative marking candidates must work on accuracy and speed. The IIFT 2023 exam pattern is given below:

Note:

• + 3 marks for every correct response
• However, in GA +1.5 for every correct response
• -1 mark for every incorrect answer
• In GA every correct response will be penalised with -0.5 marks

IIFT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must be aware of the IIFT 2023 eligibility criteria before appearing for the exam. The IIFT eligibility criteria refer to the minimum requirement that a candidate needs in order to appear for the exam. The IIFT 2023 eligibility criteria includes the educational criteria and age criteria in order to make the candidates eligible to apply for the exam. The following are the IIFT eligibility criteria 2023:

• There is no restriction on the age
• Candidates must have a recognised 3 years Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 % marks in any discipline ( 45% marks in case of SC,ST, and PwD candidates)
• Candidates in their final year of Graduation can also apply

IIFT 2023 Registration Process

IIFT 2023 Registration Process will tentatively start from September 2022. Candidates are advised to check the official website of IIFT in order to register for IIFT 2023 exam. The registration usually closes in the month of October. The notification regarding the IIFT 2023 registration and exam date is yet to be released by the IIFT officials. The exam date is usually the first Sunday of December. Candidates should note that the no request for refund of fees once remitted by the candidate will be entertained by the NTA Authorities. The IIFT registration process 2023 is given below:

• Candidates need to login to the official website of IIFT
• Candidates should click on the “Apply Online” button under the IIFT MBA (IB) using their email id and mobile number
• Candidates are then required to fill the basic information and complete the online process
• A system generated Application number is generated which the candidates are required to save
• Further, the candidates are required to upload their signature, picture and caste/category certificate
• Post uploading the required documents the candidate is required to make the payment of fee through the payment gateway and keep the payment receipt as proof of the fee paid
• Candidates are then required to print and save a copy of the successful remittance of fees for future reference

IIFT 2023 Exam Application Fees

The IIFT 2023 fees will be officially notified once the Notification is released for the same. The IIFT Application fees can be remitted through any of the following payment gateway
