Mass of the moving object, which is $m_{1} = 10 k g$
Mass of the stationary object, which is $m_{2} = 5 k g$
Initial velocity of the object of mass $m_{2}$ , which is $u_{2} = 0$
Final velocity of both the objects, $v = 4 m s^{- 1}$
Step 2: Find the initial velocity of object of mass $m_{1},$ which is $u_{1}$
