  1. Catalyst is a chemical substance that helps in increasing the rate of a chemical reaction by allowing the reaction to move through a lower energy pathway, without itself being consumed in the reaction.
  2. Some of the examples of Catalyst are Enzymes, acid-base catalyst, homogenous and heterogenous catalyst.
  3. They all are chemical compounds which made from amalgamation of molecules.
  4. So, yes, catalysts are molecules.
  5. Examples: Zeolites, Aluminum chloride etc.,
