2 + m2 = ±(1 – 2m2)

Solving we get m2 = 3 or -1/3

Case 1: when m2 = 3

Equation of line passing through (3,2) and slope 3 is

(y – y1) = m(x – x1)

(y – 2) = 3(x – 3)

y – 3x + 7 = 0

=> 3x – y = 7

Case 2: when m2 = -1/3

Equation of line passing through (3,2) and slope -1/3 is

(y – y1) = m(x – x1)

(y – 2) = -1/3(x – 3)

x + 3y = 9

Hence option (1) is the answer.
