Equation of line passing via a1,a2,a3and(b1,b2,b3)

x-a1b1-a1=x-a2b2-a2=x-a3b3-a3

The equation of the line joining the points (3,4,1) and (5,1,6) can be written as

x-35-3=y-41-4=z-16-1

ā‡’x-32=y-4-3=z-15=Ī» (say)

ā‡’x=2Ī»+3,y=-3Ī»+4,z=5Ī»+1

For xy-plane,
