Step 3: Calculating the thickness

The linear distance covered by the screw is inversely proportional to the spin given to it. The screw's linear displacement when turned by one division of the circular scale is the shortest distance that the instrument can accurately measure. The instrument's least count is what it is called.

LeastCount=0.150=0.002

When we multiply by division no.’s it must be even because L.C. is 0.002.
