The three different stages of heat treatment are;
- The Heating Stage: Here the metal is slowly heated while maintaining a standard or uniform temperature.
- The Soaking Stage: In this stage, the metal (turned red) is kept a specific fixed temperature for a certain amount of time.
- The Cooling Stage: During this stage, the metal is cooled back to the temperature of the room.
