Superconductors are of two types: type 1 and type 2. A type 1 superconductor has zero resistance below the critical magnetic field and critical temperature. Type 2 superconductors have the magnetic flux lines passing through the material at a certain value of the magnetic field and current density. This changing magnetic field induces a voltage and a resistance is induced in the material.
