Null vector:

  • A directionless vector whose magnitude is zero is called a null vector.
  • It is the resultant of two or more equal vectors that are acting opposite to each other.

Example:

Two persons at the ends of a rope are pulling the rope with the same force. Then the results of that tension will be a null vector.
