Question

What is the gravity formula?

Open in App
Solution

  1. Gravity: The force that pulls a body towards the earth's centre, or any other mass-bearing physical body.
  2. The gravitational force between two masses m1 and m2 separated by a distance r is given by : F=Gm1m2/r2 Where m1and m2 are the masses of the bodies, and r is the separation between them.
  3. The direction of gravitational force is always towards the centre of the bodies and it is always attractive in nature.

Hence the gravity formula is F=Gm1m2/r2
