CBSE Declared JEE Main Result 2018 – Cutoff went to an All Time Low

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared JEE Main result 2018 (Paper 1) for the exam conducted on 8th (Offline) and 15th, 16th April 2018 (Computer Based Test). Out of total 11,35,084 students registered for JEE Mains 2018, around 2,31,024 students have qualified the examination (1,80, 331 boys and 50,693 girls ). The qualified students will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2018. The registration process for JEE Phase 2 is scheduled from 2nd of May 2018. IIT Kanpur (the conducting authority) will organize JEE Advanced 2018 on 20th of May 2018 in the online mode of examination for admissions to different undergraduate courses offered by IITs and ISM Dhanbad.

How To Download JEE Main Result

The students can download JEE Main result 2018 by following the given steps.

1. Visit JEE Mains official website i.e. jeemain.nic.in.

2. Enter your name, roll number, and D.O.B. Click the Submit Button.

3. JEE Mains 2018 results will appear on your screen showing All India rank, All India category rank, total marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, category wise cutoff marks, and qualifying status for JEE Advanced 2018. The students are suggested to Download and keep printout for future references.

The students qualifying the cutoff marks will be eligible to appear for the counselling process. This year no weightage has been given to the marks secured in class 12th board examinations. Admission to different undergraduate courses offered by NITs (National Institute of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institute of Information and technology), and other government (Central and state) funded technical institutes but will be given purely on the basis of ranks secured in JEE Mains 2018. However, the candidates are required to secure a minimum of 75 per cent of marks in their class 12th board exams for getting admission in the above mentioned technical institutes.
