Dimensional Formula of Angular Speed

The dimensional formula of angular speed is given by,

M0 L0 T-1

Where,

  • M = Mass
  • L = Length
  • T = Time

Derivation

Angular speed (ω) = 2π × [Time]-1 . . . . . (1)

⇒ The dimensional formula of time = [M0 L0 T1] . . . . (2)

And, π is a dimensionless quantity.

On substituting equation (2) in equation (1) we get,

Angular speed = 2π × [Time]-1

Or, ω = [M0 L0 T1]-1

Therefore, angular speed is dimensionally represented as M0 L0 T-1.
