The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra Director has stated that the admissions to the pharmacy and engineering courses for the first year in colleges across the state will be based on the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) instead of the Joint Engineering Entrance (JEE) Exam.
As per the directorate statement, the CET will be on par with JEE for the year 2022-23. The syllabus for the CET exam will be drawn from classes XI and XII. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education would decide on the class syllabus of both standards regarding the weightage. The DTE will announce the syllabus once it gets created.
Other Announcements
Negative marking will not be part of the exam. The difficulty level of questions from mathematics, physics and chemistry will be on par with JEE and the difficulty level of questions for biology will be at par with the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).
