National Testing Agency (NTA) has now released a notification announcing the opening of the exam centre correction facility for registered candidates. The exam authority will now be allowing students to change their choice of exam centre city for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2020.
Previously candidates were limited to making changes in particulars like their name, fathers’ name and other personal details only. Now candidates will be able to make changes to the choice of the exam centre as well.
As per the notification, “NTA will make efforts to allot the city of examination to the candidates as per their choices but it will depend on the availability of the capacity in the desired city. If it exceeds the limit and due to administrative reasons NTA can allot a different city to the candidates and their decision would be final.”
Meanwhile, the facility for correction in the particulars in the Online Application Form has already been made operational on the website (jeemain.nta.nic in) from 01st April 2020. This process will remain open until 5:00 PM, on 14th April 2020. The fee has to be paid via online mode before 11:50 PM.
This move has been initiated in view of the hardships faced by the aspirants of JEE (Main) 2020 in making corrections in the particulars in the Online Application Form due to COVID-19 epidemic.
