State Science Talent Search Examination or just STSE is a state-level exam that is organized by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) every year. The main purpose of conducting this exam is to find dexterous students and help them develop greater skills in the field of science. STSE is conducted annually within the state for 10th and 12th standard students.
Students of RBSE Schools & Govt Schools who get selected in the exam are awarded different scholarships. Generally, 50-50 students who have secured a minimum of 80% are given the scholarships. Class 11 and 12 students are awarded Rs 1,250 per month while UG and PG students are given Rs 2,000 per month.

STSE Rajasthan 2020 Appreciation Amount
At the state level, students who will be shortlisted on the basis of the merit list will get the scholarship as part of the appreciation amount. The details of the scholarship amount given to the candidates are provided below.
→ A candidate who will get 1st position under the top 20 students in class 10th and 12th will get Rs. 4000 and rest of the 19 students for both the class 10th and 12th will get Rs. 2000 as an appreciation amount.
→ Students who will score more than 90% mark in STSE 2020 will get the Scholar Certificate and the one who has scored marks within 80% to 90% will get the Distinction Certificate.
STSE 2020 Important Dates
STSE exam is usually held in the month of November every year. However, due to the current situation, the exam has been postponed and will likely be held on 20th December. The dates for the various events are as follows:

STSE Application Form
The application form for STSE 2020 is usually made available on the official website. Students can visit the official website and download the form. Here are a few steps that students can follow to download the registration form:
- Visit the official website (http://rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in/) of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE).
- Once you reach the homepage click on the link “ONLINE Form Filling Portal for N.T.S.(Level-I) and S.T.S.Exam-2020” available at the homepage.
- Then check the section “STSE” available in “Instruction/Download”.
- You will have to “Download Application Form” of STSE
Please note: Interested students may also register from their recognized schools.
Candidates are advised to fill the application form carefully for successful entry. Incomplete applications or errors in the forms will be rejected or they won’t be considered under any circumstances.

STSE Eligibility Criteria
STSE eligibility criteria are basically state-specific as the exam is a state-level exam. Students have to fulfil the eligibility criteria and then only apply for the exam. Eligibility details are as follows.
Students studying in Class 10th or 12th are eligible.
Students must belong to an RBSE affiliated school or state-recognized board.
Candidates must have completed class 9th or 11th with a minimum 50% score.
STSE Exam Pattern
The exam pattern is as follows:
- Types of Questions: Objective type
- Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking
- Language of Question Paper: Hindi and English

Paper 3 or the SAT section for science stream is further classified into four parts, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. 20 questions are asked from Biology and Mathematics while 25 questions are asked from Physics and Chemistry each.
STSE Syllabus
STSE syllabus is mainly based on the syllabus that is followed in RBSE schools. The question paper for 10th and 12th standards will cover topics of class 9th and 10th and topics of class 11th and 12th respectively.
STSE 2020 Admit Card
The Directorate of Education, Science Branch, Delhi, will release the notification for the issuance of admit cards for STSE. The admit card will be available on the official website (http://rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in/). Students can download their admit cards from there. Admit cards should be carried to the exam centre at all times and are required for verification purposes at the exam centre.

STSE Result
STSE Result is released online on the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan’s official website (rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in). The result will be declared in the form of a merit list. The merit list is generally prepared based on the sectional score of all three papers.
