Will JEE Advanced 2019 Be Held?

IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) is a prestigious institute globally. To get admission in IIT for pursuing engineering is a dream of lakhs of students every year. JEE Advanced 2019 will be conducted by IIT Roorkee, it will be held on May, 19, 2019, Sunday. Admit card for the same will be available from second to third week of May, 2019. The exam will be held online containing paper i and paper ii, both the papers are compulsory

There are various eligibility criteria to appear in JEE Advanced:

  1. Candidates must qualify phase 1, which is JEE Mains with good score such that they should be among the top 2,24000.
  2. Candidate must have born on or after October, 1, 1994. There is relaxation of 5 years in age for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  3. Candidates who have passed 12th in 2017, 2018 with 75% marks for general and 65% for SC/ST/PwD candidates, and also those who are going to appear in 12th or equivalent qualifying exam in 2019. Subjects in qualifying exam must be Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Hindi/English.
  4. A candidate can appear for JEE Advanced two times in successive years.

Details of JEE Advanced 2019 are as follows:

  1. Registration for JEE Advanced will start from first week of May, 2019.
  2. End date for submission of application form will second week of May, 2019.
  3. Admit card will be available from second week to third week of May, 2019.
  4. Exam will be on May, 19, 2019 into shifts: Paper 1 (9 am to 12 pm) and Paper 2 (2 pm to 5 pm)
  5. Answer key will be available in the fourth week of May, 2019.
  6. Result will be declared in the second week of June, 2019.
  7. Allotment of seats will start from third week of June to third week of July, 2019.

Marking scheme:

Section-1 (multiple choice questions with one or more than one correct answer)

  1. 4 marks will be given if all correct answers are given.
  2. 3 marks will be given if all four options are correct but marked only three.
  3. 2 marks will be given if three options are correct but marked only two options.
  4. 1 mark will be given if two or more options are correct but only one option is marked.
  5. 0 will be given for unattempted questions.
  6. 2 marks will be deducted in all other conditions

Section-2 (questions with answer in numerical value)

  1. 3 marks will be given for correct numerical value.
  2. 0 marks in all other conditions.

Section-3 (Paragraph based questions)

  1. 3 marks will be given for correct answer.
  2. 0 will be given for unattempted questions.
  3. 1 mark will be deducted in all other conditions.
