Eligibility Criteria for JKBOPEE Entrance Exam
For B.Ed Course
Every year, the UT of J&K Government modifies the B.Ed course eligibility requirements. Candidates applying to the JKBOPEE for admission to the B.Ed course for the current term must fulfil the following eligibility conditions:
- The candidates must have a valid UT of J&K or Ladakh residence proof.
- To be eligible for the course, the candidates must have successfully completed an equivalent BA, B.Sc., BCom, BCA or BBA examination from a recognised university or institution as per the 10+2+3 pattern.
- In the qualifying exam, the candidates must have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in open merit and a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the reserved category.
- Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam and obtained the essential percentage of marks at the time of admission to the B.Ed course are also eligible to take the entrance exam.
For Common Entrance Test
- Nationality: Applicants who are citizens of India are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
- Age Limit: Must be more than 17 years of age.
- Domicile: Local residents of Jammu and Kashmir are eligible to get admission to the institution.
- Educational Qualification: Applicants who have passed their intermediate exam with a 10+2 system of education from any recognised State Board are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
- Minimum Marks: Applicants of the general category must obtain more than 50% marks in the qualifying exam, and reserved category applicants must obtain a minimum of 40% or above marks in the qualifying exam.
