Dr C.N Ashwathnarayan, Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka has announced that the KCET 2020 is postponed until further notice due to COVID-19 outbreak. The Pre-University examinations could not be completed due to the emerging COVID-19 situation and the subsequent lockdown in India.
“Entrance test for professional courses (CET) to be held on April 22, 23, has been postponed indefinitely.”
the minister said in a Tweet.
The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) had earlier fixed the examination dates as 23 April 2020 and 24 April 2020. The KCET is an examination conducted for admission into various professional courses in the state of Karnataka. Professional courses provided under this examination are Engineering,‌ ‌Agriculture,‌ ‌Yoga‌ ‌&‌ ‌Naturopathy,‌ ‌Veterinary,‌ ‌Farm‌ ‌Science,‌ ‌Pharmacy‌ ‌etc. Online registration and filling of application form was available till 16 March 2020. The correction window for KCET application form was from 19 March 2020 to 27 March 2020.
The KCET admit card will be released online on 10 April 2020. The candidates are advised to visit the official website and take the printout of the admit card.
