# Algebraic Formulas

Many students are facing the problem of HOW to LEARN the mathematics formulas.
A lot of students just learn the formulas without knowing where to utilize it or in which context they are learning.

$x=\frac{-b\pm&space;\sqrt{b^{2}-4ac}}{2a}$

Let’s take a very common example

Most of the students just learn the 2nd part without writing “x=” as they blindly learn this without using it before any problems. This kind of studying can only help in fetching some marks for the immediate exams and not in the long run.
One needs to learn many signs and mathematical terms before jumping into huge formulas

Always maintain a chart of the algebraic formulas you need to know.
Write and re-write it again and again so that you can use them in need.
Maths is like learning a foreign language so before studying it you have to be familiar with the terms.

Here are some of the basic algebraic formulas that we commonly use:

1.(a+b)^2= a^2+b^2+2ab

2.(a-b)^2= a^2+b^2-2ab

3.(a+b+c)^2= a^2+b^2+c^2+2(ab+bc+ca)

4.(a+b)^3= a^3+b^3+3ab(a+b)

5.(a-b)^3= a^3-b^3-3ab(a-b)

6. a^2-b^2=(a+b)(a-b)

7.a^3-b^3=(a-b)(a^2+b^2+ab)

8.a^n=a.a.a.a…n times

9.a^m . a^n=a^m+n

10. a^m/a^n= a^m-n

Learning of Algebraic formulas comes with practice, and for practice, you need to solve as many problems as possible.
Learning with Byjus The Learning Application helps you to get rid of the fear that you have for the long tiring mathematical formulas as it will not help you just to write in the exam but also in the long run.

Also due to the interactive learning facility which is provided by the Byjus App a student will be able to analyze how much knowledge he has gained by attending the easy, medium and difficult question sets which will also help in understanding the formulas better.

Learning has got no limits so keep learning with Byjus The Learning Application
